The first one is so good, had to embed it directly. This one of Rose heaving his 3 wood is not from the list.

I'd post one but the board doesn't embed animated gifs

Wow - I had no idea that Stenson had such a temper.  It will be interesting to see if people take issue with that during his upcoming boost of fame.  Personally, I don't care - I think Stenson does it in a pretty cool way for the most part - just a single, deliberate snap of the club - the one of Dubuisson's tantrum was pretty ridiculous, though.  I'd say out of all of them, that's the one that might sour my opinion of a golfer.

He used to. I think he's controlled it quite a bit. One of the reasons why he dropped so much in the world was his temper. But I believe I read that he went to a counselor and is calmed down a lot.

Spencer Levin's crazy Oakmont outburst should be on there.

Some of these are hilarious. Mad at the wind??? hhahaaha

It's always fun to watch tantrums in person. I've seen of few epic ones myself.

I once saw a very good player miss a short putt, take an angry swat at the ball, miss it and connect solidly with his own shin. Man, what a thud that was ! We were walking too, so he had to limp around the last 6 holes. Priceless.

I was surprised that Bubba doesn't know the definition of a burrowing animal.  Or Bubba could have just been hoping for a favorable ruling.  I'm a fan of Bubba.  I'm a fan of almost all pro golfers.

Couldn't get it to play, don't know what format it's hosted on. The best one I ever saw was some unknown pro who missed a putt, grabbed the putter head in one hand and the bottom of the shaft in the other, and proceeded to repeatedly whack himself in the side of the head with the putter shaft bending it to nearly a 45 degree angle! Mind boggling! The guy had to be a cement head because I'm surprised he didn't draw blood!

Woodie Austin, number 11 in the list :-)

surprised Els smashing the sprinkler at Bay Hill did not make the list.

USA Today's definition of tantrum is a lot different than mine

I think my favorite is the one Tiger hooks into the water at Pebble Beach where you can hear his commentary, followed by the stunned and awkward remarks of commentators who tried to recover.

It's just funny to me with the dead silence while he goes off on his ball.

    • It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
    • Day 215 (3 Dec 24) - Another very chilly day - opted to work on easy pitches in the backyard. Worked thru the irons and wedges - focused on foot position and tempo.
    • Yes. I believe in using the same ball all of the time, including chipping and putting practice. I use the orange Callaway Supersoft.  Only $25 per dozen, and sometimes on sale for $20.
    • A 5400 yd course is not that short for gents driving it 160 yards considering the approach shot lengths they are going to be faced with on Par 4s.  Also, for the course you are referring to I estimate the Par 4s have to average longer than 260 yds, because the Par 5s are 800 yds or so, and if there are four Par 3s averaging 130 the total is 1320 yds.  This leaves 4080 yds remaining for 12 Par 4s.  That is an average of 340 per hole. Anyway, if there are super seniors driving it only 160ish and breaking 80 consistently, they must be elite/exceptional in other aspects of their games.  I play a lot of golf with 65-75 yr old seniors on a 5400 yd course.  They all drive it 180-200 or so, but many are slicers and poor iron players.  None can break 80. I am 66 and drive it 200 yds.  My average score is 76.  On that course my average approach shot on Par 4s is 125 yds.  The ten Par 4s average 313 yds.  By that comparison the 160 yd driver of the ball would have 165 left when attempting GIR on those holes.
