Allow me to clarify... keeps him from winning more.  As he could just as easily have 5-6 wins this year vs the 3 he's had.

Thomas took a pretty big step today. The last two tournaments are going to be huge (obviously).

What would make things interesting is if Spieth wins the tour champ and FedEx cup. He would trail JT by one win and they would both have a major... so i guess it would come down to how much weighting the FedEx cup has. 

Without that happening, JT has it all but locked up.

He bogeyed 12, 14, and 18… while Thomas birdied 13 and 15.

You can shoot 68 and still make some bogeys that cost you the tournament. As Jordan did today. Instead of applying pressure, he relieved pressure.

When was the last time there were three players that still had a chance at POY this late in the season? A very good year for golf, IMO.

I consider this a two horse race, Thomas vs. Spieth.  Obviously, if Dustin Johnson runs the table, there would be a reason to re-consider him.

If none of the trio makes any noise over the next couple weeks, I would vote for Justin Thomas.  A lot can change, however, before the last putt drops in the Tour Championship.

      I generally like par-3 courses and find it a darn shame that the last of them closed in my area during the pandemic. Part of it may have to do with the fact that I never have been very good with the longer clubs, so the short holes are a bit more my speed.  Being able to get in 18 holes in two hours was pretty convenient and, ironically, the lack of crowds made them peaceful places to be. Naturally, that's the same reason they no longer exist around here.  The second option sounds like a whole lot of no fun.
