Day 1.   Guess whose schedule is finally going to allow him to get back to regular golf practice?  Somehow even with a home setup, I wasn't regularly able to practice. :-(

But I did play today, with a reasonable warm-up beforehand, and I should be back regularly practicing and participating here.  And from today's round (and one a week ago), I know I have quite some practice to get back to where I was a few months ago.   5 GIR + 5 near-GIR is not a good outing for me, especially with how well I drove the ball today.

day 2:

played a 9 hole round today with some friends in a very cold wind..

prior to that I practiced and warmed up a bit with P, 7i and driver.. then went to the putting green and focused on a few short and long puts (focus on direction for short-puts, and distance on long-puts). Lastly spent a few minutes chipping before starting the round.

cheers Chris

Day 2: Went to a nearby course which is only partially open (5 holes closed) and still playing off mats, and as such pretty quiet.  Played several balls, and at certain points dropped a few more to practice short game stuff.  Didn't score, but did keep track of putting which was a bit better than last time, but still not as good as I know I can be.  I think tomorrow I will practice just putting.

Day 134 - Did some putting practice today, focusing on setup and and tempo. I have a tendency to let my left arm fold back some, instead of keeping the elbow straight out. When this happens, I pull the putt; it seems this will need constant attention.

Day 506: Hit about 20 balls testing my knee. Balance was a bit off. I did do some backswing work continuing on my feels and adding more hinging at the top and a wide downswing.

Day 126, March 6, 2022

Hit about 12 balls (okay, it was 12 balls) after lessons for the day. Really took my time with them. Took almost 12 minutes. 😄

Day 3 - didn’t do much today relative to the other two days, but got my five mins in. Getting back into the swing of things, I revisited working on my grip (useless endeavor at this point) and taking the club head back & up with straighter Right elbow with 8i.

Day 69: 3/6/2022

My right elbow was kind of aching today, so I sort of took it easy. Only worked on my putting.

Did my favorite drills, Day 15 of the COVID-19 practice challenge... of course I incorporated the mirror into the practice.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Played 18 today. Frustrating mix of bad and good. Swing felt completely alien today. Struggling with latest focus piece from lesson, but it’s only been a couple days.

Day 2, my first deliberate practice in several months.  I spent 20 minutes this evening hitting balls (indoors, off a mat, into a net, real balls) with 8- and 6-iron.  My focus was on slow swings and feeling good contact.  I have yet to review my priority pieces from last time I practiced, and that's in the cards for very soon.

    • Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).  Courses are starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens are trickier.

    • I have been on a roll in November. Today was a 77 (69.2/115, 6,050 yards) on a wet course with dew covered bumpy greens. Better greens and I might have shaved a few more strokes off the score.
    • So, it appears to me that everyone is bringing out some version of the zero-torque, or square to square, or torque balanced, putter.  What ever name you want to give it seems like everyone has one of these types of things in their line up now.  It reminds me of about 10 years ago, when everyone had to have a counter-balanced putter in their line-up.  Callaway Media | Videos, Podcasts, & Episodes | Golf Content The Official source for Callaway golf clubs, golf balls and gear.
