Day 151 - Putting practice: Day 15 "bead" work today - putted a ball thru a gate set 3' in front, swinging the putter head between 2 other golf balls. Additionally, I used a ball with a line around the circumference and focused on no wobble. Then did the ladder drill 1'-6'.

Day 19.  Afternoon break earlier today, went to a nearby putting green.  I did a 4' around the clock drill (12 coins).  It took 17 putts to sink them all -- 8 sank on the first pass, then 3 on the second, with the remaining hold-out on my third attempt.   If I can sink 4' putts at a 70% rate (and improve from there), I will be happy, but I recognize today was a small sample size.

Day 525: Range today. Did a simulated round. Loosened up then started with driver picturing a course I’m playing next week. Based the next club and shot depending on how the previous went. This range has a short game area and practice green adjacent to the mats. So I just turned around and did the appropriate short game shot and putt.

Driver was pretty good today. After the simulated round, worked on wedges and short game shots.

Day 106 (25 Mar 22) - Casual 18 today with my son - course was quiet so we were able to work on set-up shots around the greens as we worked our way around.  Personal focus was on the grip and getting more neutral.   Ball flights were consistently down the line, no wild slices or hooks.  Making progress as I am seeing more GIR and better overall distances through the bag.

Day 69 (yesterday was actually 68):

Worked on setup, specifically grip. In addition to working on right hand, after browsing a swing thread with grip comments, I also worked on getting the left hand more into the fingers, because I suspect the grip slides a bit into my palm after A2 position, considering that I have a few palmy callouses. Feels weird, and I might try an undersize grip to see if that is more comfortable or facilitates holding the club more in fingers.

Also hit some balls from A3, mostly just focusing on crisp contact and a good start line, but I'll be honest and say I was so focused on the grip element, I didn't hit the ball particularly well, but I think getting comfortable with a better grip can only be a good thing.

Day 20.  I did not get out to the putting green due to today's work schedule, but I did have time to hit some 6-irons at home (usual slow swings, indoors;  a half dozen balls, about a minute each).

Day 87: 3/25/2022

Played Angel Park today. Over all it went well. Didn't lose a single ball. Only hit one really bad shot. Skulled a sand wedge. Made all bogeys and pars. 9 over. Didn't putt awful. But I didn't make any either.

Playing again tomorrow.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
