Day 29 (7 Jan 24) - Worked on gate drills with putter this afternoon - focus on rotating in the shoulders and not flicking wrists. 

Ping G400 SFT 10deg  R flex
Ping G410 3w R flex
Ping G400 3h and 4h R flex
Taylormade SLDR 5i thru PW graphite shaft R flex
Cleveland CBX wedges - 50, 54, 58 or 52, 58 (depending on my mood)

Day 183: putted on my mat while listening to a conference call. Checking set up in a mirror and then just focusing on bead. Was pretty solid.

Day 30 (8 Jan 24) (finally back in red numbers) - Easy swings with the 6i, hit a few hard foam balls.  Setup to where I had an alignment rod setup behind the ball.  Used it to get the club coming straight back and not around.

I've been enjoying putting on the office mat a lot lately. 
Once again, I did a version of the COVID-19 Challenge day 15 today twice between conference calls. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 1:

I've been practicing daily for the most part, but not posting. Had a lesson today, so figured it was a good time to start this again.

Full swing is feeling really good right now, so didn't do much full swing work in the lesson. Just need to continue work on the same feels/moves from last lesson that is working well.

I've been really inconsistent on mid-range short shots lately (say 30-90 yards). Lots of completely off the grooves toe contact or six inch behind the ball chili dips. Focused on 50-75 yard wedge shots. Learned some technique/feels to work on for these shots.

Played 12 holes. Except for about three shots, I did okay. Feeling the effects of cutting off the backswing stuff earlier than planned, for sure.

Day 31 (9 Jan 24) - Big storm headed this way - so got outside before it really kicked in.  Played around with stance distance from ball.  Hit a few balls in backyard with PW -varying stance distance.

Day 8 1/9/2024

Wanted to go to the outdoor range today, but the weather really REALLY sucked. 

So, hit some balls in the garage. I focused on holding my finish. 

I also did some putting gate drills during meeting breaks in the office. 

Lastly I did back swing work in front of the big mirrors in the basement with a 7 iron. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
