It was Crazy windy one day at work and people were actually golfing in this wind! I almost got taken out by a ball from 2 holes over ! I took a little video here it is. Be careful the video is really loud!

I've golfed with flags doing that same dance. A 3 club wind is pretty much my limit. Even then, I am scratching my head thinking "why"?

Just have to keep the ball low, and forget about putting well. Distance will be what it is. Rounds will take longer than normal.

Sometimes knowing how to intentionally slice, and/or hook the ball actually comes in handy.

Wow!  The thing that strikes me the most is how tired I feel after a windy round.

Played Altadena GC years ago when the Santa Ana’s were at full bore. My kids’ league class was cancelled after the first hole they were on and I was on the 4th hole. The Marshall came out to stop us and the cart got blown over as he made a turn on the dirt cart path. :-O That was the year the driving range fence came down...

I could play in that wind, but I wouldn't. We get some nasty days here in the spring. I played in a tournament a few years ago in like 35mph sustained winds. It was no fun. One hole played into the wind, 390 yard par 4 I hit driver, 3 wood, 9 iron. It was during that round I said never again.

I wouldn't but I'm spoiled by so many good days per year in San Diego.

Certainly a golf ball won't stay on the green in that kind of wind?

I've played in that before.  They have to replace the hole inserts every couple of years on my course here because the wind blowing the flag around wallows out the socket for the flagstick and it won't stay in the hole.

Anything over a constant 30 mph is brutal.....prefer under 30 mph whenever possible.....have played in worse, but it's not fun when you have to hover your putter and hope the ball doesn't move in your backswing.

I don't like playing when it is too windy.  With that wind, I wouldn't even bother getting to a course.
