Love/Hate Relationship With Golf

damn near had a dear golf buddy die over this Winter. Artery bloackages requiring stents. He's on the mend and doing well now. Reminded me of how much I love playing golf with him, and his Son, and how much I love him!

Glad he is thru it...played with my dad for 35 years, and my wife’s dad for 20 years...carry one of their wedges in my bag every time I play (Hogan grind for pop, Wilson R91 for pop in law)...Im a muni player and dont care about the 14 club limit - I get a few shots in every round with these old duffers clubs to honor them, since they have both been gone a while now...

Good one! When my timing is on I can fly cast like nobody's business! When it's off, I can look like I've never cast a fly rod in my life! Golf is very similar.

Love: allows me to forget everything else in the world when I am on the course.

Hate: Not knowing which game will show up on any given day.

Hate: 

• Fat shots
• Snap hooks
• chipping yips
• shanks
• The spiteful, vindictive, ever-present golf gods

• Competing. I am a competition junky.
• The feel of a well struck golf shot.
• Making a ridiculous par
• All the friends I have made while playing over the years.
• Pretty much everything 

Hate:

• People that don't respect the course. Rake your bunkers, fill your divots, fix your ball marks!!
• People that play the blue tees with a white tee game. Tee it Forward!
