Somewhere between the range and first tee, Tiger lost something.

Yeah. And yet, he's on 9, and if he shoots 32 on the back nine, he gets to -7.

And as I type that he just putted off the green at 9.

Stenson & DeChambeau have certainly set a high bar at 11 under; if they keep playing that well nobody will catch them as they see who can go lower in their birdie-fest.

Carry on my wayward drive

There'll be pars when you are done

Lay your weary wedge to rest

Don't you shank no more

He's just trying to make the cut now. He can afford maybe 3 more dropped shots.

Twice you’ve said that. Twice you’ve been wrong.

He’s T24 man.

Tiger looks like he's hit a wall. He's played a lot of golf recently. He could use some rest leading up to Augusta.

I'm sorry, I just don't think Tiger plays to make cuts he's got 106 professional wins and 14 majors. Guys like that don't play to make cuts.

It wouldn't be a bad idea on this back nine today, though.

Finally moving the right way again. Take a birdie at the last par five and two more at the other holes, he's at -6.

If his irons were sharp yesterday, they are well worn 1993-clubs today. Jeesh.

He'll get it. Two weeks off. I suspect he'll get down there maybe once, too, to get in a little work.

Gee, hope he makes the cut. :-P

(Not like he's doing great, but again, c'mon man…)

He is struggling out there today. Making the cut is a solid goal considering the situation. Fleetwood shot 76 today and will barely make it. That guy is an elite ballstriker too. Just one of those rough days for both of them.

I feel as though you're not really even watching. He's T21. Worst he's been today is like T24. He's been playing poorly… by his standard. He's one over through like 14 holes.

He'll make the cut. That's not a concern. He's not on "cut watch" and never has been today.

I still feel like people don't understand the type of surgery he had. He's fine.

Back to even par, and five (or six, depending on how you look at it) clear of the cut line.

Yeah, E for Tiger is him really struggling. It's like you've forgotten how good he is, @Dr. Manhattan. :-)

I'm watching and not taking anything for granted with his score. He's damn lucky to have the score he does today. Caught a couple very nice breaks at the 3rd and 4th holes. Grinding very well considering the fact he clearly doesn't have the ballstriking today.

We also forget that Tiger also happens to be the greatest and most patient grinder of at least our generation.

In many ways Tiger 3.0 is playing on house money and on top of that he seems to have a renewed sense of purpose. Even a poker faced Tiger is finding it hard to mask the excitement.

I am sure the cold stone hunt mode is still a WIP, but 'playing to make the cut' is just insulting.. :-)

EDIT: BTW, what pro plays to 'make the cut' let alone Tiger, unless they are within a shot or two of missing it?
