Fine. And you’re a slow player that every commercial about it is referring to. Own up to it. It’s your choice. Fine. It’s not a popular one..but what do you care?

PGA tournaments don’t take 51/2 hours because a few outliers are playing slow. As @iacas mentioned they used a clock on the Euro tour and it was very successful. Why you’re enthralled with dragging tournaments out is beyond me.

Speaking of slow, PGA Tour Sloth JB Holmes is a hole and a half behind in the Travelers. Time to start penalizing him.

What other ways besides visual shot clocks littering the fairways could be used to implement this?

Your imagination can’t come up with anything?

Every group has a walking scorer, standard bearer, etc. already…

No. I'm among those not in favor of shot clocks - particularly like those debuted recently.  If they do decide to implement them it would seem something a bit less obtrusive might be nice.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
    • Day 31 (2 Jan 26) - Usual Friday men’s group shootout - good day of shot making  as most shots were right on line to the target point.  Putter and green reads were solid with some great par saves and a really tricky birdie.
