I don't see a proximity stat for the tournament, but they do show that his strokes gained on approach this week is 3.8, even with a -0.4 the first day, which ranks 9th in the field.  On the other hand, his strokes gained putting this week is -3.95, 76th in the field.

Apparently, Jordan Spieth had to take a lost ball in the rough, right near a fairway. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before in a PGA Tournament.

They really should change that rule. 😉

But in his last three rounds, out of nine par fives, he's only made one birdie.  I'm guessing that he didn't practice much last week, and what little he did was spent on his driver.  Can't blame him, with five events in six weeks this stretch.

Yeah, the original tweet I read said accidentally, so just blindly accepted it (see what I did there? 😜), looked at it again where he subtly shakes his head, I guess Single Length Irons Guy didn't get it, I see he did it as a joke. Faldo's Jerry Lewis moment, lol.

      Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.

      Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)
