Hi,
I want to buy a golf grip. My hands are very sweaty when the temperature goes to 80 degrees. I try 3-4 gloves, but it is not good enough. So, now I want to buy a golf grips for my slippery hands. I have two options; one is Winn Dritac, and another is Karma Velour Golf Grip. Please suggest me the best of them.

Welcome to The Sand Trap. I have sweaty hands too and find that only cord grips work for me. Even with that, when it is really humid, I wear rain gloves. I don't usually wear gloves, but the rain glove provide the grips I need when I can't dry my hands or the grips.

If your hands get sweaty, you’ll need a glove.  No grip that I’ve found is good enough for a sweaty hand.  It looks like the Karma Velour is a typical Tour Velvet so is will be firmer than the DriTac.  The DriTac, which I’ve used, will be slightly better when moist but again, I don’t think it will be counteract sweaty hands well enough to be used without a glove.

I've used Dri-Tac's - problem is they get wet, and when soaked, they get slippery. But if you don't do a lot of range time, they will work.

I use a cord grip that has reduced taper - Golf Pride MCC +4 but only half of it is cord. Wish it were full cord.

Lamkin UTX gets a lot of good review but it's firm

I'm a full cord guy, but I play Pure DTX because they're easier to install.

My hands don't get sweaty, though, and I don't wear gloves.

Hands down, Golf Pride Z Cord. I live in Florida and am very familiar with sweaty hands. Winn Dry Tac was so-so.

I also have sweaty hands and I quit wearing gloves because the sweat would pool in the fingertips and feel awful. I actually have had trouble holding clubs because my hands would be too wet. I went to Winn DryTac and have been satisfied with them. I get Jumbo grips and don't need a glove. Grip hasn't been an issue since I changed. When they get saturated, they'll get slippery, but I use the bag cover and an umbrella attached to cart and don't usually have a problem. They do wear quick. I replace once a season, and some get quite worn by the end of the season.

Rain gloves... I recently jumped onto them with all the the practicing in the hot, humid weather around here lately. I had been using 3-4 different pairs and switching them out every so often. Problem was, they never really dried out between shifts. I broke down and bought some Foot Joy Rain gloves since I've heard various good things on different forums. Wow, what a difference. No more worrying if the grip would slip and probably holding on too tight causing all kinds of problems. Even thought I played through the rain in the past, I just would switch out the several pairs of gloves keeping them dry as possible. No more of that. I was able to get through the whole range session (2 hours) without changing gloves. I would just take them off when I rested every so often, shake them a bit in the breeze (not that I really needed to) and put them back on and go. No issues at all with grip, so that was one less thing to worry about while swinging.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
    • I have access to far more data (including surveys and polls) than you do with your anecdotes. I mean this as plainly and literally as possible: you’ve demonstrated that you do not. They would, one way or the other.
