Finally managed to find a push cart without a COVID-19 markup. Sun Mountain Speed Cart GX in silver from a third party seller on Amazon. Will be here next week.

I went ahead and ordered a couple of accessories directly from Sun Mountain as well, namely a seat, a rain cover, and a wheel cover.

Just bought a Caddytek to use when playing away from my home course.

If anyone is considering a push cart should consider one of the Caddytek range as they have all the benefits of being compact when folded and unbelievably quick at folding down and opening up.

Pricewise it is cheaper than most of its much vaunted opposition.

Also a carry bag is available so the boot of the car doesn’t get filled with grass cuttings etc which keeps my wife happy as well

I feel the same way about Sun Mountain 3 wheeled carts

I found a Pathfinder 4 available so I decided to get that instead and return the Speed Cart GX. Played a round with it for the first time today and it was quite enjoyable. It's taxing than my old pull cart. I kind of like the stability from the four wheels and it wasn't hard to move through various terrain (and trust me I hit the ball all over the place) at all. Folds down fairly small and fits into a hockey bag that I had laying around so I didn't even need wheel covers or a bag.

The seat is great. It's a bit of a novelty, but one that I enjoyed using tremendously. I'll thank @iacas for this one, because if he didn't let me borrow one of his carts with a seat for a round, I never would have thought to buy one.

I just got a Clicgear 4.0 to help with my commitment to walk more this year. Now I just need the weather to cooperate so I can try it out.

Is it all-wheel drive with winter tires?

It doesn't appear to be. I might need to get the Clicgear Mitts accessory before I get the XL cup holder if I am going to play anytime soon.

You need to get out soon, with a few layers of clothing.  Snow in the forecast for next Friday...

I haven't been a golf store in several months. Does anyone know what the difference is between a Clicgear 4.0 vs 3.5? Are either or both in stock at Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore?

Don’t bother with the cup holder. I just keep my bottle in the net. Unless your bottle is a perfect fit, it can bounce out.

Interesting. I haven't experienced that. I have both the standard and the XL cup holder and nearly always have a beverage in both. I actually find that they work very well for the size water bottles I like to use and my Yeti Coffee Cup works great in the XL.

The 3.5 has bungee straps and the 4.0 has rubber. I actually like the bungee better, but the rubber is ok too. They also changed the bag supports a bit. The 4.0 top one is reticulated, so you can position it better. They are both really good carts.

Maybe it’s just the bottle I use. I have a couple of Yeti type ones that don’t quite fit right.

If I get a chance I'll get mine out and take a photo for you. Right now it's safely put away in the garage. I'm not expecting good weather any time soon.

My daughter and I use the cup holders all the time.

I received a 20% off code for accessories, so I might buy a couple things. I am not sure how much they charge for shipping, but shipping is free on orders over $49.  I'll have to see how much it is worth ordering something additional just to get free shipping.

Right now both my son and I have stand bags, so I might order the bag cozy. Part of me wonders if I should put that money towards a cart bag because I doubt I will every actually carry my bag. The main reason I have a stand bag is for convenience when practicing.

I might order the XL cup holder or the cooler tube.  I don't think I really need anything else right now.

I think the XL cup holder is a good investment. I use mine pretty much every time out. The standard cup holder is a little on the small size, but does work great for some things. So, I really like having both.

I’ve Ben wanting a Clicgear for a while but they had been sold out of marked up way too much.  Today I went into a Golf Galaxy to look at putters and the had 3 in stock.  2 white and 1 black.  I took the black.  Really wanted silver but black was my 2nd choice.  It was $259 which is better then what I had been seeing on Amazon.  It does not “Pop” like @ChetlovesMerwith his blue on blue but I am happy.

My stand bag fits but not well.  My cart bag fits perfectly.  I know they redesigned the model 4 for better clearance by the wheel and it seems fine to me.  Now I need to add the XL cup holder.

I like the black on black look.  You are either all about business or a big Gary Player fan.

    • Day 4 - Had aspirations for range work but a family activity went a lot longer than expected. So 6 minutes of mirror work, feeling good about weight shift back and transition forward.
    • Simply put, no, you get relief from the cart path, but there's no guarantee of a reasonable swing, no relief from tall grass or trees or anything else.  To answer a later question, if a stance to that left side of the path, and a left handed swing, means the ball is OB, or in another area of the course like a Bunker or Penalty Area, that's not the Nearest Point of Complete Relief.
    • Day 6 1/5/25 Putting through 50 mm gates. Last night I only hit two gates, and tonight it was just one. Perhaps tomorrow will be my first perfect session from 11” on this size gate.
    • I agree that if a lefty swing was reasonable, then that part of the situation is fine. As in, if the ball were pretty close to the bush so that a right handed swing was blocked but far enough away that he had a clear strike at the ball left handed, then I think that's a fair thing to do. But then, as Erik said, assuming that the cart path in question is wide enough to accommodate driving a standard golf cart on it, then NPR is certainly on the desert side of the path. Anyone know what the penalty is for taking an illegal drop in this way (not at the NPR)? One question I have, @iacas said the NPR was probably in the bush. Do you not have to be able to take a reasonable shot from a spot for it to count as a relief point? Assuming the NPR is in the bush, would he be allowed to determine NPR given the lefty swing but then actually drop the ball behind and towards the cart path from the NPR to give himself a right handed shot that wasn't blocked by the bush? Here he would be determining NPR given the proposed lefty shot, but then taking the actual drop in a place where he wouldn't get full relief for the lefty shot. Is that legal. To be more extreme, what if the OB line were 18 inches into the desert from this cart path. If you take relief for a lefty swing, is the NPR OB, since your feet fit in bounds on the desert side of the cart path? Or does OB not count as a relief point so there you'd get to drop on the grass side of the path. Assuming that's true, is it then legal to do what the OP's friend did, which is drop in the grass to get relief from a lefty swing, then set up for a righty swing and take relief again into the fairway?
