    I've been using B330-RX balls for the last couple years, and I like 'em. I bought a box of the new, 2016 versions last week. The first time I played with then last week they seemed longer than previous versions. Maybe half a club. But then this weekend the weather got cold all of a sudden, just barely above 40 and any distance gain was gone. I'll have to see how they play when the weather gets back for normal.

    Or you could turn off iCloud photo syncing on your iPhone. That's under Settings -> iCloud. If you turn it off none of your photos will get sent to the cloud.

    I played the back 9 at Falls Road GC yesterday. On #17, a 345 yard par 4, I hit a mediocre drive, leaving me 148 yards to a back pin. I hit a 7 iron that left me with a tap in birdie putt.

    Colbert is so hunched over, and his head moves around a lot.

    The Tar Heels won the ACC championship! They locked up a #1 seed by beating Virginia. UVa was able to force their style of game, a grind it out, half court game, but UNC was still able to win. The best defense I've seen UNC play in a long time.

    I've got a ClicGear. Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but I figure I'll get 10 years or more out of it, so I wasn't too worried about the cost. Sometimes I'll just carry my bag, though, if I'm only playing 9 or if I'm feeling spritely. If I play with my son, I let him use the push cart, even though his bag is half the weight of mine.

    I don't get why the pros do that. They get brand new clothes every single round. Who cares if it gets muddy.

    I got out as a single or with my son as a twosome all the time, so I've played with many strangers. 99.9 percent of the time, it's fine to great. I once got paired up with Bob Beckel, political pundit from Fox News. He wore a back brace, and every swing looked so painful. He was a decent enough golfer, but boy did it look like it hurt. The one bad experience I recall, was last year a middle aged guy caught up with me and another random guy. He was a pretty bad golfer, but that's no big deal to me. But he was swearing and yelling at himself at every bad shot. He'd slam his putter, or bang his fists on the steering wheel of his cart. He had to let everyone know he wasn't normally this bad a golfer, I guess. He had a big, ole reverse pivot and was falling backwards with every swing, so there was no way he was a good golfer. But I guess he wanted to convince us he was just having a bad day. I just kept my head down and my thoughts to myself. Made for a quiet, awkward round. But other than that one time, I've always enjoyed meeting and playing with random folks out on the course.

    My son and I played the front 9 of Needwood GC (67.6/109), one of the county courses we play regularly. I shot a 40, the best 9 I've shot in a long time. I hit 6 greens resulting in 6 pars, which I've never done before. My son played pretty well too, shooting a 52. And he played from the whites, since those were the only marked tees.     Sounds good. I can PayPal you money to get the cheap rate if need be for me or both me and my son.

    I'm in for one of the two days. Saturday works for me. I don't think I can get away with abandoning the family the whole weekend. By the way, if there's an empty slot, I could bring my son. He's 12 and hasn't broken 50 over 9 holes (from the ladies' tee), but I think he will this year. He's been improving a lot in the past year.

    I've got a TaylorMade Rescue 3 hybrid and a Gigagolf ps500 4 hybrid. I love the TM, but I have a mixed relationship with the Gigagolf. It can be hook-prone at times. I've been thinking about upgrading them to a matched pair of something. I've been considering Pings or Titleists. I don't care for the look of the recent TM stuff, especially the white. Don't like the white.

    Welp, that was soul crushing. Carolina should have blown Duke out, but they couldn't put them away. And then the execution in the final couple minutes was horrible.

    Eh, if it makes you happy and doesn't put you in the poor house, more power to ya. And compared to the club ho-ing I've seen on other internet forums, 1 complete club set is nothing.

    I picked up a regular flex G30 driver last season and have been very happy with it. Longer and much more forgiving than my previous driver. My old driver was like 8 years old, so it's a bit of an unfair comparison, but the G30 is really good. Also I've very happy with Ping's customer service. My push cart tipped over, breaking the G30's shaft. The golf shop sent it back to Ping for a new shaft, and I just had to cover shipping 1 way.

    Both our cars are getting long in the tooth, so I'm very interested in checking the Tesla 3 out when they become available. My brother has a Nissan Leaf, but he hasn't been very happy with it. He's definitely had some coasting on electric-fumes situations.

    Welp, no post season for Louisville. They imposed a 1 year ban on themselves over the stripper/recruiting scandal.

    When I was in grad school, I was playing the university course once. It's essentially a muni. It was in the summer time, and in the south it gets hot and humid. So the guy ahead of us just took his shirt off. Dude! It was not a pretty sight. Pale, lumpy flesh. We told the marshall, and he went up and told him that he couldn't do that, and he put his shirt back on. Come to think of it, he might have been wearing jorts too. Other than that, I don't really care what folks wear, but I do wear a collared shirt and bermuda shorts generally. In the colder months, though I could be wearing jeans and a T shirt, but that would be under a sweater and/or jacket.

    The app I use, TheGrint, has achievements like : bogie free, double free, triple free rounds back to back birdies, 3 birdies in a row, etc. score in the 60's, 70's and 80's Another one that comes to mind is penalty free round.
