Aside from the computer ... a norm in todays world ... I have to go with the PS4/xBox ... I game with people from all over, we can be in different parts of the US/World and still talk and "see" the same thing ... it amazes me. (I know, get a life)

Relatively new to golf ... crowed on the first tee box ... I was so nervous I could hardly breath with everyone watching ... at least two groups waiting on the tee ... I shank my drive into a tree by the tee box that bounces straight back and rolls under a cart of the waiting groups ... I walked straight my cart and never looked back ... That was almost my last day of golf ... hell I am still embarrassed about it.

I relatively happy with my current lvl of 95'ish ... while I do try to get better, its not a top priority for me. I love the hanging and bantering with friends, more than I am worried about beating the course lower my HC ... I embrace that I suk I think it was mentioned its about priorities and the self-value you get from teeing it up ... its different for each one of us. There is too many things for me to worry about, and being on the golf course is an escape for me ... I enjoy just being out there ... healthy and enjoying the day. A long explanation for ... I sort of get where the guy is coming from

I am not a political guy ... but agree ...

For the year ... game golf has me at 54% ...

According to gamegolf ... 283 ... down hill, on a very dry fairway ... but I will take it!!

Ireland ... Ballybunion old course ... cold, wind so strong it blew the pull cart over the minute you let go of it ... drizzle ... but hey, I was in Ireland, and playing golf ... nothing could ruin the day!

Nike introduces CounterFlex technology
isukgolf replied to boogielicious's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Very interesting ... I know during my Edel fitting we spent some time on the weight within the handle. It did make a difference where it was positioned. -
I saw Bridge of Spy's ... would give it a birdie, but ... it was a bit slow in places. So a very solid PAR.
-
I will give it a read ... probably be like Hank's though ... and I only make it half way through it.

I am going as a grumpy old man ... its really a natural for me ... Be safe ... its amateur night for a lot of drinkers out there

I am actually excited about the new technology ... will get it on order tonight. I am a sucker for gadgets ... I meant to add: I like the all red ... I lost mine off my belt before, and when I went back to last shot in the rough, I had to hunt for it a bit.

In a casual round I have no problem. I play for the social aspect and getting out with my buddies. If that person in our group can take all the banter that would be coming to them for using the non-confirming club, then go for it.

Rich Beem asked to Drop out of Tournament for Ian Poulter
isukgolf replied to Gator Hazard's topic in Tour Talk
I found this in another article, it sounds like poor planing on Poulter's part, and cutting it so close to the line. -
Just as a follow up ... contacted Edel and they are mailing me the original weights free of charge. Got to give a shout out to Edel for handling this quickly. I will make damn sure they are tight before I go out. I golfed on Friday ... I know they were both in late in the round ... golfed on Sunday noticed one was missing, but did not have the tool to tighten remaining one, but watched them closely, then on the 12 hole after putting I noticed the second one gone ...I had chipped up from the rough and dropped the putter down in the rough ... we looked but could not find it ... just odd they would both drop out so close to each other. Again a shout out to Edel for handling it quickly.
-
Agree they should be in my putter ... but they fell out while playing ... so I would like to order new ones. I sent an email to Edel asking.

I bought the weight kit (6g / 21g), but do not see where I can buy the 12g by themselves.

I will echo what has been said a few times ... get instructions ... I know some new golfers that buy into the golf marketing machine and think a club(s) will somehow make them hit it far and straight ... I have yet to see a club that can correct an horrible swing ...
-
I have not voted yet ... can you share why it was stopped before and what has changed since them? I like the idea, but I would suggest 30 minutes or less segments ... not much can hold my attention for very long.

Ran into something similar, but it was light raining ... the group in front were under the trees out of the light rain. When we drove up, the two in the back said to ahead they were waiting for it to stop, but one guy in the cart at the tee box, got out of his cart, and stood on the tee box with that stink eye look ... in the awkward moment the other two explained they said it was OK ... We tee off, and while we on the green, MR Stink-eye is in the fairway by his ball, with the "hands on the hip will you hurry up" stance ...and it was still raining??? He hated that we want ahead even though they were waiting for it to stop raining. Anyway it was awkward and when we walked off the 18th, Mr Stink-eye was on the 16th fairway ... Some folks just feel entitled to their place on the course, regardless of what the situation calls for.

Retiring early - why, how, who, when
isukgolf commented on rkim291968's blog entry in Early Retirement (and golf)?
I am sort of there with you ... I can plan most cost, but my biggest concern is health care. It can be such a huge variable, and honestly the one area that keeps me on the job today. Can you share your thoughts on how you are handling health care?
