Wow - I'm a big fan of Rory but who is he trying to kid? I would of thought that queuing up with everyone else would of caused more of a fuss than taking the VIP treatment!

Not uncommon. I think a lot of stars just like to feel normal. I like that Rory isn't throwing around his star power.

Unlike Spieth who just assumes Under Armor will just send him cloths if he ends up in a playoff for the US Open. Sad sense of entitlement there. (joking) :-D

He's trying to kid no one. You don't have to be cynical about everything Rory does. He's always seemed to be a very down to earth type of guy.

If he asked for the red carpet treatment, that would be more planning. Then he'd have to sign autographs, shake hands. This way, he doesn't have to plan anything, show up anytime and be left alone. For the most part. Now I've got Celine Dion going in my head. Doh.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

I wasn't really shocked. He doesn't really seem to be the type that demands special treatment all the time although I am sure there are times that require it.

Yea he seems like a pretty down to Earth guy. I think places will ask celebrities to do the VIP treatment/private touring if their presence might cause a disturbance of some kind, like if Niall Horan showed up at Walt Disney World during high school cheerleading nationals competition week or something.

I would have done the same but I have to reached the #1 ranking in golf first.

From One Direction Dude!  Even I know that!  Niall caddied for Rory in the Masters Par 3 contest.

Me, neither.   I am just consumed with everything that is golf and have no time for anything else.   That's my Friday retort to @boogielicious . :-P

    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.

    • Hence your Avatar!😜 I drink a lot of water during the day if I’m playing or exercising. I get cramps otherwise.
    • If you walk up to a food/drink kiosk at Magic Kingdom and ask the person for a cup of "magic water" they will give you a small cup of Sprite for free. About 3 fingers worth. They don't sell alcohol at MK anymore so I go over to one of the courses while she hangs out there.
    • This isn't some kind of natural fact. It's a lot more complicated than this implies.
