Just for grins, if you could only buy golf infomercial "as seen on TV" golf clubs, what would your bag set up look like?

  • iacas changed the title to Golf Infomercials - What Would Your Bag Set Up Be?

It would be that "swingless" club that has a gun powder charge in it to send the ball down the fairway, some what accurately.

That club, a couple of wedges, and a putter would make up my bag.

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

Been meaning to reply to this topic as it is a fun one!

Can't seem to find much for irons, but here would be my setup:

Driver: GX-7 X Metal

The distance of a high-performance driver with the accuracy of a fairway wood. Click to order your GX-7 golf club today!

Wedge: Square Strike 45 Degree Wedge

Putter: S7K Stand it Up Putter

Any other entertaining ones out there?

Okay, here's my bag:

Hammer X Driver

The Teeless driver (In case the hole is less than 400 yards, you'll need to dial back from hitting the Hammer.)

The Vixa V-12 fairway wood

The GX-7 fairway wood

IRT-5 hybrids

F2 Face Forward irons

The Alien wedge

The C3i wedge

The XE1 wedge

The Square Strike Chipper - my favorite next to the Hammer X driver of course.

The Hammer X putter

Pyramid putter - just in case somebody mentions that the Hammer X putter isn't actually legal to use.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

    • I've had this one since 2021.  Amazon.com No complaints.  I had to reglue the little Velcro tabs onto the yellow foam guide thingies. But that's not a big deal. The Velcro came off almost immediately and I put them back on using super-glue and they've been fine ever since. I've hit a lot of balls off this in my garage and I have no complaints.
    • I've been thinking about buying a hitting mat for home indoors use. I currently only got a small patch of some mat I bought years ago and stand on a wooden platform. It'd be nice having a mat to stand on and hit from. After some searching, I see Fiberbuilt often being praised. Not sure if I can get hold of it easily here, and buying internationally can get expensive for a mat that's already quite pricey (~$800). The Wittek Quattro is also usually favorably mentioned, and at half the price (~$400) of the Fiberbuilt. Anyone have experince with this mat? Any other suggestions?
    • It just occurred to me that the last time I was serious about golf, my woods were made of….wood! Also interestingly (to me anyway) as I shopped for “woods”, mostly on eBay, I found that all the clubs in really nice cosmetic/aesthetic shape (good finish, nice club face, good grip) were woman’s clubs. Seems they either take really good care of them or don’t use them much.    And lastly, for now anyway, I went to a range today that has Top Tracer monitors at all the stations - another “new” development that may have been around for quite a while, but this was a first for me. I found it useful although I’m sure I only scratched the surface of its capabilities.
    • Agreed. For me, the feel was introduced to get the arms moving down from the top. It wasn't necessarily a "get it in front of the hip" explanation as the correct position but more for an exaggerated feel to get rid of the earlier issue.
