I wonder if one of them will NOT resign — maybe someone who wasn't eligible to play in the majors anyway — so they can test out the legal standing with a lawsuit.

Phil had said he doesn't intend to resign, but it seems like the resignations are helping out the PGA.  Anyone sitting on the fence is getting the message that it's either one or the other without the PGA carrying out their threat.

Also feels like a harsher punishment to anyone who doesn't resign is easier to enforce when multiple guys have essentially voluntarily taken the harshest penalty that was on the table

In other news, Captains and unbelievably bad team names have been released for the tournament.  Still have absolutely no idea how teams are at all appealing to fans when they're just shuffled every single tournament

Interesting both tennis and golf involved in internecine battles.

What's involved after you resign from the PGA Tour, getting reinstated I wonder?

Probably not great. I have little faith in the PGA Tour.

My goodness, those team names... I follow minor league football and the team names there are better than these.

      Come one now. Some guy on twitter says it so it must be true? Groundbreaking for SMU's Payne Stewart Golf Learning Center Thats the SMU announcement from 2009. Was named way before Bryson started. Construction apparently did not finish until 2017 so at least the guy on twitter got that right.       That quote is apparently from this 2022 article  LIV Superstar Bryson DeChambeau Shares the Real Reason Why He Fell in Love With Ben Hogan and His Famous Flat Cap - EssentiallySports In his recent YouTube video, Bryson DeChambeau discusses how his love for the famous Ben Hogan cap began and his admiration for the legend.   He has talked about the cap way before this.
