Coming home last night there was a show on the radio (Β WDBO, Orlando) called the Cigar Dave show. Its about cigars and drinks, and so forth. Very Alpha Male, late 90's kind of thing. Anyways, it got me to thinking whats everyone's favorite after round drink, cut of meat, choice of cigar, watch or whatever.Β I'll start it off by saying my favorite pre/during/post round drink is Florida Lager Beer, which is brewed up the street from me.Β Its a fine lager that doesn't feel heavy and pairs well with a nice Ribeye or NY Strip or as a stand alone refreshing beverage.. I don't do much by way of the cocktail anymore, but I do like my Margarita's on Tuesday night. I don't do cigars anymore but I have been known to chew on a Cohiba back when I wore Dockers on the golf course.Β

Favorite after round drink = An icy cold gin & tonic.

Cut of Meat = Well, I don't eat beef so it's shrimp... in anything.

Cigar = A good Arturo Fuente or a Partagas Black Label.Β  Though I only partake on Pebble Beach Sunday as the winner is walking down the 18th fairway, Father's Day and my Birthday.Β  And any other random celebratory occasion.

Watch = Don't wear a watch... that's what bank clocks (getting rarer) and mobile phones are for.

Car = I like a good Audi with low gas mileage.

Women = Do I have to pick?

I'll save the cigars and drinks for others to opine on, but for me, a medium rare roasted prime rib with creamy horseradish sauce is hard to beat.Β  I like it witch zucchini, asparagus, and mixed veggies, plus a Caesar salad.Β  I know some people don't like the fatty party of the cut, but the meat is tender.Β  Plus, you can put it on sandwiches, in salads, etc.Β  It's such a nice well-rounded cut due to the roasting.Β Β

I've never been a fan of the prime rib except for a sandwich. There is a place near by that has one to die for. They do it just right I guess.Β

Must be a coincidence.Β  Snapfade, if you ever need to order a good cigar online the place to do so is Neptune Cigars in Miami, Florida.Β  (neptunecigar.com)Β  Β I ordered someΒ Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Maestros, "Cigar Aficionado's"Β 2019 Cigar of the Year, and they turned up missing in the mail.Β  Thinking my mail carrier had a hankering for some good cigars.Β  Neptune emailed me this morning to say they were reshipping the order, at no charge to me and would supply a tracking number tomorrow.Β  Now that is awesome customer service!!!

I usually play as early as possible so my after round drink is often a cup of Waffle House coffee.Β  When it isn't I enjoy a cold beer in a glass.Β  Meat-wise my favorite is a rib eye.Β  I don't smoke cigars or wear a watch but I have seen people doing one or both on T.V.

OMG! Back when the cigar craze was in its full bloom, the Fuente Fuente Opus X was released to the public. You couldn't find a stick around here. My buddy went to a business conference in Philadelphia, and sought out the best tobacconist in town. He found one that advertised its whole shop as its humidor!Β

They had Opus X for a little under $20 a sick. He presented me with one of them, Best cigar I have ever smoked! Lasted for hours, it's a torpedo, and had a taste I can't describe!Β

I spent my formative years, the 80's, in Little 5, spend loads of money at Wax n Facts, and skatebaording and tater tots at Zestos. Candler Park GC is still there BTW.

If you haven’t already, try JR Cigars... Β I never pay more than $5 a stick for a lot of cigars that sell elsewhereΒ for $12-$15 per. Β Β Highly recommended.
