The Fountains Of Wayne's two albums preceding Welcome Interstate Managers are surprisingly awesome. Some of the best bubblegum pop of the last two decades, IMO.

WZ is spot on here. Fountains of Wayne and Utopia Parkway both Fully rock with pop sensibility and quirky tongue in check humor. Gotta love the Steve Miller-esque hooks (Red Dragon Tatoo) and Replacements style attitude (Joe Rey) that percolates throughout these two gems. Head out to the laser show grab a bottle of Basil Hayden and take it all in!
