Hmmmm.

Given the further information I've read, I'd hate to see two lives lost to this. And I still have not and will not watch the video.

I’ve not watched it either, I have friends  whose cousin played in the NHL. I think  I will ask what his view of this is but have no desire to watch it.

It’s pretty standard procedure for police investigations isn’t it? It doesn’t mean that charges will be pressed.

I absolutely believe that a full investigation should happen. I am with @iacas, I refuse to watch the video. I already hate watching replays of stuff like broken ankles, legs, arms. I will look away if a TV will start that slow motion replay.

I have trouble watching the videos of idiots getting their bell rung doing crazy stuff on skateboards, etc. and thus I also have no desire to watch this video which I assume is far worse.

That is horrible. Awfully dangerous. Didn't even seem like an active scuffle.

As hard as it is to admit that anyone playing for a Pittsburgh sports organization isn't evil incarnate, I'll have to give Crosby his credit.

In his 19th year and he's over a point-per-game so far;. Everything I've heard says he's a pretty good guy to.

In a lot of ways, the Daigle saga transformed the rules and structure surrounding the NHL draft and rookie contracts.

Happened to see this as I was rolling through the news this morning.

Always sort of amusing how much certainty people seem to have that a top draft pick is going to be the next legend. See it in both my favorite sports, hockey and football.

What I had forgotten is that Daigle actually had a half decent career by any normal standard. 616 games and 327 points would have been just fine for nearly anyone else.

    • Range day working with the 6 & 7 irons.  As we have grass and it’s been beat to death, I hit off short tee pegs.  Solid session with the irons - even if there were a few wonky hosel rockets with the 7 when I did not stay in the process.  Finished the session with some work with the driver, focused on setup and tempo.
    • Day 195: did a stack session.
    • Day 27 - 40 minutes of chipping work; range was closed this morning. Worked on lofted chips with 58, bump-and-run with 7 and 9 irons.
    • Congratulations.   It sounds like a ton of work but I'm sure it is rewarding.
    • Well now the ordeal is over, and I'm back home.  If anyone is interested in doing one of these workshops, I recommend it, but its a lot of information in a short time frame.  Its been compared to taking a drink of water from a fire hose.  A lot of the "enjoyment" comes from the personalities of the instructors.  In my previous workshops, I've had one instructor who was good, and the other was exceptional.  This time, both instructors were exceptional, as was the "coordinator", who also served as instructor (his first time) for a couple of segments.  You have almost certainly heard each of the instructors on telecasts as the "rules voice", and have quite possibly seen coordinator-Jay on the USGA rules of Golf videos on Youtube and the USGA website.   A nice surprise, I got my exam results in an email earlier today.  I guess it helps that our class was held maybe 300 yards from the USGA satellite office in Pinehurst.  I'm really pleased, I improved on my past performances, and can claim the "Expert" title again.
