Anyone Want to Meet up for a Group Lesson in October?

I've been talking with @iacas about the possibility of doing a group lesson at Golf Evolution in Erie, PA. 

We were talking about getting together in the AM on October 9th. 

We could do the lesson at Golf Evolution. We can kind of schedule it however we like as long as we are done by 1PM so Erik can head out of there to coach his college team. 

I know I'll be working on my game a lot this off season, so this would be a great time for me to get another lesson in. We can flesh out the details as we go. But for now I'm just trying to gauge interest. Anyone else interested? 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Hey guys. This was totally worth it.  I had a blast and I feel like I have new stuff to work on.  PLUS - @StuM proved he CAN hit a 300 yard drive! It happened I witnessed it.

I think we'll set that at $100. Normal rate for 45-minute lessons for me is $80, so $100 for five hours of "time" at Golf Evolution seems okay. Cash is preferred, but checks are fine, PayPal is f

So, I got into a car accident last week which totaled my car (have a few scratches on my arm but no other injuries otherwise thankfully) so at this point, I'm a maybe because I have to figure out my car situation before committing to anything.

I've been really busy, too, and haven't done anything golf related in a month, either so there's that, too. :-(

I’ll probably spend the night near Erie (in my van!) and would be interested in playing in the afternoon, weather permitting. I’ll play solo if needed, but would love to play with others doing the lesson if there’s interest.

Perhaps this is the chance to get back into golf related activity?

I'd be interested as well. Although it's been my experience that playing right after a lesson can be ... what's the word? ... interesting?

Well now, if ppl are playing then i might rent a car if i don't have one to get the lesson and go play!😂

I'll need to check schedule more but my interest is peaked.  I have @ 4 1/2 hour drive and would not spend the night in my SUV.  @Chris Brooks you can share a room with me if I do come.  I would only come with the anticipation of playing a round in the afternoon.  Just too long a drive for only a lesson (although I am sure it would be a great lesson).   As for golfing after a lesson, at least we would be with others in the same boat.

      Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.

      Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂

      I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
