Taylormade Ghost Spider S Putter.  34"  with the straighter attachment (whatever you call it - not the one with the big built in offset).  Out the door I started with a JUMBO Winn putter grip, (though the Super Stroke 3.0 felt pretty nice, I went with the cheaper grip to start with.)

used it yesterday and it's SO much better than the cheap mallet I've been using.  It lines up really well with just my eye - I played the entire round just setting up my putts from address (using the hole and not an intermediate point) - it fits nicely - though I haven't done a fitting yet it does set up flat already and the line is quite a bit more intuitive.  I was hitting my distances a ton better, and making a lot of the mid distance putts (like the 4 to 10 foot range) easier.

But $till, I'm not normally one to pay out for a club like that, but I think it'll be a pleasure to play with.

I wish I could find the adjustable weights, it's not very clear on google searches how to get those.....I think I might like it heavier.

I bought some True Linkswear Phx golf shoes I got a good deal on Golfsmith.com for only $65 tax included and had it shipped to the store for pick up.

Also, while I was waiting for them to get the box in the backroom, I went to the simulator to try out some clubs. I saw the Titleist 712u 3 iron and tried it out and was hitting very well to the point I was almost addicted hitting it. I bought my first hybrid, a Nike Covert Tour, a few months ago and for some reason, I just can't hit hybrids regardless of the brand. Luckily, the golf store I got it from said I can return the Nike for full store credit and used the credit to special order the Titleist 712u 3 iron. Expecting to pick it up tomorrow.

Best Regards,
Ryan

Bought a couple Tour Wrap grips and a Callaway Razr x 3h (Sold my Razr X set, but loved the 3 and 4 h clubs, so I was glad to find this for $40) Also ordered a set of Mizuno JPX 825s. Can't wait to get those and play!

Bridgestone Treosoft because they were 2 for $30 and I want a ball that I've heard is pretty good and plays similar to the more expensive balls I like to use but wont be afraid to lose.  Anyone else play these before?

Also bought a new frogger brush because mine fell off my bag at some point during my round today and I was a little pissed when I discovered it missing.

The last three dozen Wilson Staff FG Tour balls for 19.99ea.... damn clearance. Such a great ball at an extraordinary price, too bad they will not be getting any more.

I'm a sucker when I go to golf stores... Let's see, I got a pair of pants, a hat (that makes about 15 now), a putter grip and a glove last time.

well lets see....

@ golfsmith in livonia michigan,  i traded in two of my cleveland wedges, and picked up a new 52-8 cleveland 588 wedge, and a macgregor tourney 56 and 60 wedge, and bought a purple snake eyes polo shirt..

then in Grand Rapids, Michigan @ golf galaxy, I picked up 2 boxes of maxfli revolutions, and another box of maxfli's cant remember what kind lol... Then they had some Slazenger shirts on BOGO free, so i picked up 4 shirts, a titliest fitted had, and a new towel....

yes this was all in one day lol......was driving from Livonia to GR to home....

    • You can pre-order an R50 here for pretty rapid shipping (these are back-ordered almost everywhere): https://www.playbetter.com/products/garmin-approach-r50-golf-launch-monitor-simulator?ghref=2301%3A700794. This is an affiliate purchase, and I'm willing to kick back lifetime ad-free Supporter membership here on TST or a 90-minute GEARS session for the cost of a regular member lesson (about 1/3 the cost). Also, I'll record a video myself soon when I get an R50.
    • Day 58 - 2024-11-27 Some quick 90-yard shots on a particular hole… before a lesson and testing out multiple Foresight Launch Monitors on GSPro.
    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
