Titelist Vokey SM5 54/10 S Grind, so far I am having a love hate relationship with this club, taken it on 3 rounds and have had success on 2 of 3, the odd one out I just couldn't make solid contact.  We shall see if this one stays in the bag.

I bought a Cobra Bio Cell driver and 3w ... damn I love them both ...

Got the blue ones ...

Of course I am still in love with them, so I believe I hit them straighter and farther than any driver i have every had ...

some used clubs so i can play on this road trip:

TM MC 2-pw with KBS shafts (starting to think i might sell them when i get home, little too stiff for me even though i hit them well in the store)

callaway x-series jaws 54/16 (i have to find a way to get this in my bag permanently, amazing spin. downside is it rips the ball cover)

macgregor putter (cheapest putter they had, hate it but needed a putter)

24 nike sfts

sun mountain carry bag (going to my wife when i get home)

I like it all the way around... not as much on my cart but it's ok.

I live in country that doesn't even know what golf is, only clubs sold here is Wilson, in my town anyway. Ordered everything online, last purchase was yesterday titleist vokey sm5 56/10 m grind + scotty cameron california sea mist fastback putter. Kinda risky to order so expensive putter without getting to test it first, but trust that it fits my stroke well.

Used kinda crazy amount on my equipment but now I can't blame bad shots on those atleast and that's why we go to work, don't we? ;)

Having some issues with my purchase from Global Golf. I ordered some amp cell irons and a Bio Cell (normal) Driver with a Red Tie shaft (custom option).

The order was in pending for like a week so I did a late night call to global and they said they fixed it and were shipping me a driver that was in stock.

I've checked the order this morning and it's shipped (yay) but the driver seems to say it's both a Bio Cell normal and Bio Cell + Driver, definitely want the normal.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
