Occasionally I’ll play courses/clubs that require shirts tucked in and belts.  For the 20+ years I’ve been golfing now, I’ve just worn one of my old football belts from college.  Well, recently I somehow lost it.  Looking for a new belt, something with a smaller buckle, maybe flexible.  What are everyone’s favorite belts to wear when golfing, and why?

I wear Mission Belts. I get all my belts from them now, including my work belts and dress belts.

And it has to be white in case I run into @ChetlovesMer on the course.

I wear a lot of different belts, but many of them are Mission as noted above by others.

Thanks, everyone.  They are nice looking belts.  Do they have any versions that have some flexibility to them?  I couldn’t tell from what I was able to find.

Flexibility like what? Stretching?

Why would you want that in a belt?

The nylon start out stiff, but they do loosen up. Same with the leather.

Yes, a little stretch to them.  I’m used to a sports style belt with a little bit of stretch, they’re more comfortable as the body is in motion.  A woven belt will stretch a little bit.  However, I don’t mean as stretchy as a bungee cord.

I can’t say they stretch, but I’ve never noticed a need for my belts to stretch. Even the canvas ones are backed with leather.

I like Nexbelt ratcheting belts, seems similar to Mission as far as mechanism. I’ve never tried a Mission belt to compare.

I love Grip 6 belts. Very cool, minimalist design, tons of colors, work great for golf, casual, even dress.

The belts themselves don’t stretch, but with their ratchet system, you can really fine tune the fit versus a standard belt design. I’ve had stretchy belts before but prefer these now.

I think all those type are the same mechanism and are interchangeable, basically.

Bill, as I've said many times the white belt is fine if you are a painter, selling ice cream or in the Navy. 😁 ..Females, especially pop stars are exempt as well.

In all seriousness I'm a Grip6 belt guy. I have 4 of them (None are white) and 4 buckles. All of mine are the work-belt (1.75") models. They are the only belts I own and I wear a belt every day. For me they great at home or work, golfing, not golfing, going to the driving range or the gun range. They are stiff enough to hold any holster I might use, but also pliable enough to play golf, or even work out in.

I have a couple of Bison belts with the T-lock buckle and a couple of Maikun belts with the D-ring buckle. None are white.

You've gotten some great belt suggestions (none of them should be white) but I would encourage you to think outside of the box. Suspenders, dude! That's where it's at. Pink or red suspenders are a bonus. Suspenders are virtually guaranteed to make your opposition shoot higher scores (and no - not just 'cause they're laughing at you!).  😉
