Now that BB is over and nothing current on, I go to my very long to watch list and started The Good Wife . I heard from many it is very good, but doubted it because of network televisions awful record, but it is excellent, melding procedural and episodic seamlessly while providing interesting cases every week. I never really paid much attention to Julianna Margulis on ER with the big curly hair, but with the flat hair, totally different.

Game of Thrones - A Bad Lip Reading

Finished "The Wire" a few days, ago. I liked it, didn't love it. Is it an established thing that the second and fifth seasons just were't that great? Even the third one only really came together with some awesome last few episodes. Some of the characters (Carcetti, Sen. Davis, Rawls/Burrell) I just didn't care about at all, some (Sydnor, Carver, Poot, Randy/Dukie/Namond, Prezbo's beard) I wish we got to see more of.

Anybody watch Agents of SHIELD?  So far the first 3 episodes have been decent ...  Nothing to write home about, but at least somewhat entertaining.

I liked the first one a lot. Didn't care for the second. And my DVR says I have two to watch.

I couldn't remember if it was a Tuesday night show or Wednesday night show, but either way, we haven't watched this weeks yet. :)

It reminds me a lot of Heroes (well the first episode did), which is a show we loved ... until it sucked. ;)

All I remember about that show are those "save the cheerleader, save the world" commercials, becasue they aired those things constantly . Did they ever save her?

LOL, yes.  Otherwise, fans of this show would be dissappointed ...\

Heroes had so much potential.  Season one was some great television.

I`m on the fence about the S.H.I.E.L.D. show.  I`ve been watching it, but haven`t had a `hey this is awesome` moment.

Some twisted part of my psyche made me watch episode two of the fourth season of Eastbound and Down, and I`m glad I did.  It was much better than the opener.

HBO has a new comedy I noticed called "Hello Ladies" that's mildly funny. It's by/starring Stephen Merchant, the co-creator (with Ricky Gervais) of the original "The Office." It's pretty funny in the sort of Larry David/"Curb" sort of way, but the main character isn't as mind-numbingly insufferable.

Yeah, you were right ... just watched last nights episode and I this one was really good.  I'll stick with it.

The Walking Dead, on the other hand, better come up with something big soon or else I'm giving it up.  (Supposedly they are, so we'll see)

I couldn't get past the first 1/2 hour of S.H.I.E.L.D, I'm so worn out by anything Marvel Comics. I think the SyFy show Alphas was better. Homeland doesn't seem all that good this season either. Netflix recently added the last season of Louie and it is excellent.

I'm in the minority on this though as the reviews of the third episode were nearly glowing. I was ****ing bored out of my mind. So annoying. So stupid. So tired of seeing Claire Dane's face all screwed up because SHE ISN'T ****ING CRAZY (even though she is).

People talk about the golden age of TV. Now that BB is over, many of the current shows are very mediocre. I never got into Boardwalk Empire although I'll have to give it another chance sometime, but while many of the current shows - The Walking Dead, Homeland, The Bridge, Low Winter Sun, Masters of Sex, etc... would be considered not bad before the Sopranos came to air, in light of all the great shows we've seen, they're pretty meh.
