After watching Homeland, my wife insisted that we stick and watch the first couple episodes of The Affair. The story is told each week from two different perspectives, back-to-back. Interesting premise, now I'm hooked and I have to see where it goes. I am guessing it is kind of like Fargo, in that the story is one-and-done and will not be a series.

I didn't think he had a character like that in him, but he does a pretty great job.

I like The Affair. The True Detective like scenes really keep you guessing as to what happened in between. McNutty keeps getting casted as the philandering husband.

Anybody watch Gold Rush?

I mostly watch to laugh at their general lack of mining ability that still sometimes results in big profits. Lots of gold in them thar hills.

Got to hand it to them on the guts to throw down and take a risk.

Just finished watching the first 2 seasons of this show.  It's so bad.  lol  The drama is just tedious and trite and the show has jumped the shark probably 4 or 5 times already.  I keep watching it though and I can't explain why!  I think I'm expecting it to experience some miraculous turnaround and become amazing but I'm pretty sure that's never gonna happen.  Anyway, waiting for season 3 to finish before I watch any more of it.

I thought season two was a fair bit better than the first of Arrow. It's nothing that will be remembered in the halls of great television, but it's nice mindless entertainment. I'd have to say the first four episodes of The Flash have been a bit formulatic, but very entertaining nonetheless. There's one great CGI scene per episode.

The Flash is the reason I'm watching Arrow actually.  I didn't even know Arrow existed when I mentioned the Flash to someone and they said to watch Arrow first since that's where the character originated.

Really? I feel the complete opposite. Loved the first season but fell out of love with 2. I just thought they got to many people with Sarah and Roy. Liked it when it was just the cute computer girl, diggle, and arrow.

There were some very good scenes in 3 and 4. Bill Murray was excellent in episode 4. I think I'm going to read the book.

Haven't watched it yet. Did you read the book? I really enjoyed the book and I wonder how much they stayed true to the narrative.

I hated 90 percent of the island scenes in the first season.  Big haired Ollie was so annoying I nearly quit watching.  Manu Bennet made season two for me.

    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙
    • Day 28: 2026.01.30 Managed to make time for a few swings out back today. Need a proper bit of range time this weekend.
    • Day 30, 1/30.  Six minutes this morning hitting a few more range balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Did this before leaving the house.

    • Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
