The tips and drills you mention throughout this board, have completely changed my golf game.

I came into this year without an official handicap, but I would normally shoot in the mid 90's, with being in the 100's not out of the question and it was frustrating and not all that fun.

With the hip slide, deep hands, and keep the weight on the left side tips and drills, I have become a much better golfer.

Over the last 5 rounds(scorecard not updated, hope to soon) I have hit 65% of fairways with an average driving distance of gps measured 244 yards and good drives are going 260-270.

Even better is I have hit 57% of greens in regulation and my ball striking has become very solid and I am now confident hitting a 5 iron into a green when I need to.

Over those last 5 rounds I have shot 76, 79, 82, 80, 78. Some of the absolute best scores of my life and I would not be anywhere near those scores with out the help all of you provide.

I now believe I can begin to focus on putting and the short game and watch the scores really begin to drop. My golf game is forever indebted to all of you. So once again I say Thanks, and if any of you are ever in the Lansing, MI area I owe you a round of golf.

+1000 Thanks to you all, especially to Erik and his threads he's added over the last year.

I'll third that. Wish there were some way to reciprocate. If you put up a tip link, I'd contribute.

Ditto. My HC has gone down from ~20 at the start of the year thanks to S&T and short game advice from this forum.

i had been meaning to make a similar thread, especially to say thanks for opening my eyes to some fundamental truths to the swing like:

ball flight laws
releasing the club is a misunderstood concept
weight forward, stupid!!!

gotta give this thread a thumbs up.

I have to admit, when I first started reading this forum this past year, I was a bit skeptical with all this S&T talk. I can't say I've incorporated much at all of S&T but small parts of it to where it helps.

A part of S&T I've recently started focusing a bit more on is getting my shoulders to turn steeper than rather flat. Being not as flexible as my younger years, a flatter shoulder turn seems difficult to achieve with my dome in the way and all. A steeper turn has helped keep my backswing plane a bit more aligned, getting a fuller shoulder turn, which adds for consistency on my down swing.

Regardless, props due where it belongs. two thumbs up for Iacas and the members here.

I agree 100%.
I'd seen a little about Stack and Tilt, but I'd never really understood it until I discovered this place. Erik (among others) have really helped me see the light and the error of my (old) ways. It isn't easy making a swing change, but I've committed to it and this site has been an incredibly valuable resource. Hopefully, one day I'll be able to afford a trip and some lessons in Erie with Erik.
