I've been doing 531 since Thanksgiving.  Well, my version of it.  I do 2 main lifts per session with a focus on of the lifts with assistance work, so I can get each of the 4 main lifts 2x a week.  I also do some assistance work for the main focus lift.  I've also dusted off the Super Speed sticks with my swing speed radar to do at the end.

Today is:

Bench press: 5@40%, 5@50%, 3@60%, 5@65%, 5@75%, 5@85%, plus some joker sets if I'm up for it.

Overhead press: 5@40%, 5@50%, 3@60%, 5@65%, 5@75%, 5@85%

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BP assistance work

Paused BP: 5@40%, 5@50%, 3@60%, 5@65%

Narrow BP: 5@40%, 5@50%, 3@60%, 5@65%

Farmer's walks

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Super speed golf workout

Feet together- 5@green RandL, 5@blue RandL, 5@red RandL

Normal swing- 5@green RandL, 5@blue RandL, 5@red RandL

Recently I started a 6-day a week workout program. Days 1&4 are cardio, days 2&5 are resistance training, and days 3&6 are yoga. My cardio workout is on an elliptical machine in the garage. The resistance training is done to YouTube workouts using resistance tubes with resistances of 20 lbs. - 150 lbs., and yoga is also YouTube videos tailored specifically for golf.

Today my workout is 30 minutes of cardio in the morning and putting training after work. For putting, I create a 3-foot circle around a hole with 8 tees. I putt until I make 16 consecutive putts. I then move the tees back a foot and putt until I make 8 consecutive. I then lag putt into the 4-foot circle from 30, 40, and 50 feet.

After that I putt around the practice green twice, Par 2 and pull back each putt 3 feet.

Workout everyday but just don't feel like posting them all.  The last 20 minutes of today's class was a mile run followed by doing 7 burpees and 15 sit-ups on the odd round then 14 burpees and 30 sit-ups on the even rounds.

Managed the run and 6 rounds complete in 20 minutes.

I don't like to workout just to workout.   I find it extremely boring.   Yesterday our Meetup group played street hockey in 90º temps for about 2 hours.   I think I got in a pretty good workout.

I've been throwing around a kettle bell for about a half hour every couple days for a pretty nice workout.  Simple stuff like cleans, overhead presses, and squats.  I look up some new moves every once in awhile.  Nice core, cardio, and full body workout.

    • Finally found a video explaining how to take relief when a penalty area is next to a cart path.  https://youtu.be/D8YTvGDIApg
    • Day 42 Continued with rotation drills. Fortunately did this early in the day. As I broke my f'ing big toe this evening 😡. Dropped a 3/4" sheet of mdf on it doing a project in the garage. Thinking I'll be out of commission for a bit, short of putting and maybe some chipping. Which I guess isn't the worst thing in the world. Just sucks. Was really looking forward to this week's league. Especially after breaking par on the executive course earlier this weekend. But I'm not gonna push it. Gonna call my Dr. tomorrow to see if there's anything I should do. Aside from avoid our Mastiff / Cane Corso who's a notorious foot stepper 🤣.
    • Seeing as their micro sim (club attached sensor) is already fairly accurate, I'd suspect adding a radar component to the mix certainly won't hurt. And I don't see where it says it stops tracking shots after 3 feet. But for people who are space constrained, only requiring 3' in a radar based unit could be a big deal. As far as "playing" without a ball, that's basically what the prior slx micro sim provided. Where it is more of a video game if one elected to use it without a club. But with real balls, that same sensor was pretty spot on with distance, ball flight, club and ball speed. So, again, adding a radar unit in conjunction with their club based sensor can only improve upon the overall data.
    • I thought Faldo's comments about the final putt were referring to the fact that it was a fast, downhill putt. I believe he said that you "don't want to overdo it either way, not run it 4 feet past or leave it 6 feet short" or something like that.  Alot of these comments, when you hear them afterwards or think about them, sound sort of stupid, or obvious. Azinger has had dozens of these. I remember an excited Jack Buck calling the baseball playoffs and remarking that some player's hit in the gap would be "at least a triple!" Huh? I think what Faldo was trying to convey is that if you start to think "just get this close," you run the risk of leaving it well short or being careless with direction. Instead, keep your focus, zero in, and try to make it. Trying to "make it" when it's a downhill, slick putt means that you are, by definition, careful, that you make sure you judge the distance correctly, rather than being "aggressive" with pace. But I don't know. Maybe he was just babbling and being dumb.  It was a great tournament. A friend and I who text throughout final rounds said at the beginning of the round just as Zalatoris teed off "I'll take 7 under."  My predictions were wrong. 🙂 Well, I predicted Mito not win; I thought he would play ok but have his worst round of the tournament, and someone would pass him. My picks were Fitzpatrick and McIlroy. WRONG. I also said "Zalatoris will play well, but putt his way out of it." Nope. His ball striking was pretty bad on several holes.  I was surprised at how many missed greens there were from the last 4 groups on the back 9. At least it seemed that way. But it was a very hard course.
    • What’s weird about this is the broadcast did say it’s Fitz standard warm up so, I guess pot meet kettle and that doesn’t fit Rapaports narrative. But I agree it it doesn’t jive to place blame on Fitz short warmup.
