Lucky for you its a smaller field so pretty much everyone will be on the course at the same time....you have the freedom to move around..   And Doral is pretty much in a squared off area, isn't it?   So you can move from hole to hole pretty easy.  Am i right by saying this?  It looks that way from the aerial shots.

A member at my club plays in a big corporate outing there every fall and promised to take me with this year to play on his team.  I am not letting him forget that one!!!   I jokingly remind him every time i see him.

Dustin is trying to take out the camera guy. :-D

In all the years of watching golf I don't think I have EVER seen that happen...where the ball is coming right at the tower camera man and he actually got it on camera...that was actually kinda cool...and funny at the same time. :-D

Everybody at around even par didn't hurt themselves. You can't win on the first day, but you can easily lose it.

Still three rounds to go and I can't see the winning score better than -10.

Nope.  Tiger, Rory, and Phil are the only guys playing this week.  Supposedly "Dustin" beaned a cameraman today, but that was actually Tourspoon hitting practice shots from an adjacent lot.

I can't believe all the carnage on 18 yesterday. Good lord that hole is playing so hard. Like 20 balls in the water!

What do you guys think you would score on the hole, playing from their same tees?

If bogey was good for the pros, I'll bet I would score at least 7 or 8, and probably be happy with it. LOL

Since I'd be playing it like a par 6, I could live with a 7.

No better than 10 under? Maybe. Depends on the conditions I suppose, but I believe they will go lower. Perhaps not as low as 15, but maybe around 12-14. They have to avoid screwing up too bad on the tough holes. There are a several easy holes which give lots of opportunities for birdies and whatnot.

On in 3 seems like it would be GIR for a mid-capper like myself.  The green is huge and it looks like it would be easy to 3-putt.  6 would seem like a good score, 7-8 would seem more likely.

I've played it a few times. Play it like a par 5 up the right side. You can hit 5i, 5i, Wedge, 2 putts.

Which 9 is more difficult?  Tiger is -2 through 3 holes (birdied both par 5s).  It seems like if he could stay -2 on the back 9, that would be a good score, no?

I think the front was yesterday a little bit easier. But the scores so far are far better than yesterday. They have to get to -5 today to be in position

Does anyone know if there's a site to watch this online?

you can watch live action with the PGA Tour app. I have it on my iPhone, it's pretty cool.

18 is like an easy par five as far as distance goes. With a good drive at 260-270 you got a long iron into the green. Of course the wind, water and design of the hole makes it harder, but if it was straight ahead, it's possible. I'd have more difficulty with the 240 yard par 3. That is 40 yards longer than I can carry my 4 iron. A wood would reach the green, but holding it is another story.

I clicked on the link for the live feed, and for about the first 5 minutes the audio was drowned out by some "local 9" news segment.  Very odd.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
