Looking forward to spring to put these to work. Just got them today.  I’ve had Edel:edel: wedges before but tried another brand for a while and missed how versatile and great these are.

You probably wouldn’t shank those. They’re right handed clubs 😜

It's official. I'm joining the Edel wedge golf club.

Just ordered a 50°, 55, and 60° to replace my current Callaway MD2 wedges. I'm assuming it'll be a couple of weeks until they show up, but I'll update this thread once they do.

Edel has released new wedges (the "SMS Wedges" or "Swing Match System Wedges"), and they're being discussed here:

I'll keep this topic open, as it's still got good information, but please consider posting in the new topic instead.

    • Hmmm, I think people would do well to move away from this kind of thinking. Specifically, two things: That we "pull" the butt of the club forward toward a wall anywhere near the front leg. That we "maintain" or "hold" the wrist angles. Both of those are closer to the opposite of what we do in the golf swing.
    • The US players are to get 500k to play- 300k to charity and 200k to fill their nearly empty wallets. Tiger will be disappointed it’s not more.
    • A putter which is actually aiming where it looks to you like it's aiming is pretty helpful.  As to LAB, I go back and forth on it - I've used them at PGA Superstore on a few occasions and it does seem to swing very easily and I don't feel like I'm having to manipulate it at all. But I'm not really comfortable springing north of $500 on one without knowing which alignment set up I need and I can't figure out an easy way to test them all. That and I'm putting pretty well with my current putter, so I should at least stick it out with that until it goes cold. The new OZ1 looks decent though. Will have to see.
    • So, I was at a Christmas party this past weekend. They had a large desert table. On which I found Oatmeal Raisin cookies. ... Yummy. They were delicious.  Then, I see there's another guy there, mowing down on the Oatmeal Raisin. Turns out, they are his favorite cookie as well. So, I tell my kids "See, I'm not the only one who's favorite cookie is the oatmeal raisin."  My daughter chimes in "Dad, that's Abby's Grandpa... So, yeah, it is an old man cookie!"  Ugh... the truth hurts. 😢
    • My Mom and now my wife make these for me.  The name doesn't do the cookie justice because they don't have an overwhelming molasses taste, just soft and oh-so-good.. Mom's Molasses cookies Yields: 16 Servings  Ingredients  ·      1 1/2 cups Sugar ·      1 cup Shortening creamed ·      2 Eggs Beat before adding ·      1/2 cup Briar Rabbit Molasses medium or mild molasses ·      3 cups Flour sifted ·      1 1/2 teaspoons Baking soda ·      1 teaspoon Salt ·      1 cup Coconut shredded ·      1 cup Walnuts chopped  Instructions  1.   Blend shortening and sugar 2.   Add egg and molasses; beat well 3.   Sift together flour, soda, and salt gradually add to the creamed mixture, and mix thoroughly. 4.   Add coconut and walnuts and mix well.   Drop by teaspoon about 2" apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 8 minutes at 375º. Take the cookies out of the oven before they are done.  They will continue cooking out of the oven.  The cookies are better not well done.   You will thank me later!
