I don't know that Tiger's problem was an ankle and I highly doubt it was the knee.  I thought it was the achilles tightening up.  Which achilles is the one he had trouble with in the past?

And they (Woods, McIlroy) are paired together again next week for the Tour Championship! The playoffs so far have been very exciting (thanks to the top players beeing on the leaderboard all the time). I hope one of the top 5 wins the Tour Championship and the Cup, I don't want a "fluke" winner again.
