Are you going to review them for us?  I love my True Linkswear Stealths, but worry about the sole wearing out before the shoe does.

Those are pretty light... I just put my TRUE sensei shoes on the scale and they came in at 654g (both shoes).

No. So far as I know I'm currently on staff with TRUE, so even if I removed every bit of bias (which I'd probably do by being too favorable towards the adizeros), someone would still claim bias. Better to avoid that headache.

Plus, we don't exactly have a ton of grass around here right now. :)

I do support lightweight footwear, though. I also support low heel drop shoes without a ton of support. I support toeboxes that let your toes and feet splay, too, though. :)

I may write something up unofficially here on the forum, though.

Thanks Erik.  What, you have snow on the ground that close to Lake Erie?  In January?

My previous shoes were Adidas.  They were comfortable apart from the narrow toe box.  We look forward to your comments.

Thankfully!

And I don't know if these are "minimalist." I'd say minimalist shoes are: wide toe box, lightweight, 4mm heel drop or less, very little "support".

These probably rate a solid 1 out of 4 and I haven't looked into the other categories yet. They're pretty lightweight. They don't have a TON of support... they may or may not have heel drop. The toe box is not wide.

Anything that comes in that fancy of a box - I'm not sure you could classify that as minimalist?!

They remind me of Nike Shox mixed with soccer spikes.

I liked the Tour 360 shoe from adidas, but I'm not digging this re-stying. On the brith side, I'll be able to afford last years model once they hit the clearance rack, score!

I noticed Charles Howell III wearing these shoes over the weekend at the Sony open in Hawaii.  They looked great!

Impressive blitz from the Adidas guys this week. The Adizero hats, the matching white and yellow shirts. You definitely know who's wearing Adidas this week.

Does that answer the question? :)

Not for me.  Is that a negative or a positive?

Can you update us?

I have a 15% coupon code with the chance to get these shoes, and I'm curious about the feel and the fit (they offer "medium" and "wide" for width of the shoe).  I have the black TW13 shoes which feel incredible, but I was about to get the white version until I saw these AdiZero white/gray shoes.  Hoping for some feedback from any owners here at the forum.

They started to make my feet feel cramped and a little sore.

I tried a pair of these the other day - not for the looks ( they're ugly as sin ) and was not impressed as I thought I would be.

    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.

    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
