Well that could explain Tiger's increased focus on the course.  As anyone who has played this game long enough knows, if your personal life is messed up, it's hard to focus on the game.

This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.

She is easily one of the top 3 female skiers of all time, second most wins of all time and will break that record next year.

Huge star in Europe (mostly Austria, Switzerland, Germany). I guess she is about as famous as Tiger here.

It's strange to see Tiger being so open about this. He's super private but is probably just feeding the press what they want. In a way I think these photo's are almost tongue-in-cheek, telling the press to go screw themselves. They are so posed and plastic that they are the antithesis of a paparazzi shot.

Not so sure, they always say the best way to make someone jealous is to go out with someone else. Maybe Tiger is trying with these awkward posed photos to make Elin jealous.
