Watching the still-screen on usopen.com really sucks! I figured it would end early, but not this early! This is going to make for a much longer day now!

Landing area on #16. The fairway bamks up to the right but it is very narrow and nobody will try to hit it up there. It's a short iron over the quarry to the hole, so they will most probably play shor

The Internet Adjustment Formula:
IAD = ( [ADD] * .96 + [EPS] * [1/.12] ) / (1.15)
 
IAD = Internet Adjusted Distance (in yards)
ADD = Actual Driver Distance (in yards)
EPS = E-Penis Size (in inches)

lol My productivity actually increases with background noise! If it's not live streaming of golf in the background, it's Rover's Morning Glory. Once Rover is over, it's just WMMS on iHeart Radio. After that, it's Alan Cox at 3 PM.

Don't judge me! I'm in US Open withdrawal already lol. I didn't even get to see a hole played yet because it was suspended at like 8:40 and I tried to watch it at 8:50

Ha. All I know, is that Poulter can't be happy about the suspended play. You can't really start much hotter than -3 after 3 holes...

According to the Weather Channel, there will be a window of no storms starting at noon, where hopefully some of the early starters can finish their rounds before the rain picks up again around 3:00. These guys probably won't be playing their second rounds until Saturday morning, if this forecast holds. The late starters? Be prepared for 36 holes tomorrow.

Really??? I just wanna watch a live feed of US Open golf while I work. Is that too much to ask? This time last year on day 1 of the Open I was following Tiger, Phil and Bubba's group in person at Olympic with a beer in each hand!

Yeah. The USGA should be able to accurately predict the local weather on the first day of the Open five years in advance, when they award the Open to courses.

      Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.

      As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
