The Lobster.

Rated really well, and I am going to give it… a triple bogey.

That's because people like to think that artsy bs is something special when it really isn't imo.  That being said I think it had an amusing point with how people are labeled and then expected to pair up with similar individuals.

Watched some more stuff:

Cowboys and Aliens - Par

Midnight Special - Thanks to the dumb ending this gets a squeeker Par

Repo Man - I want to give this stupid movie a double bogey so bad but I'm feeling generous so.. Bogey

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - Par

The Nice Guys - Par

Trainwreck - Congratulations John Cena and Lebron James on being funnier than the actual comedian.. Bogey

I watched this movie in the bastion of hipsterdom at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) and it was well received, the satire and deadpan delivery can be very off-putting (this is the director of Dogtooth), but I enjoyed its eccentricities. It wasn't only mocking coupledom, but indivdualists as well. I think the message in general was beware of conformity. This is the same Colin Farrell in Miami Vice.

Oh yeah, went to Suicide Squad yesterday also, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.  My only real criticism is I think Harley Quinn wasn't nearly as crazy as she should have been if it was supposed to be comic book level accurate.  I gotta admit I haven't read the actual SS comic books but I've played some of the games with her character and she was always at least as crazy or crazier than the Joker but in this movie it seemed like she was lucid the vast majority of the time.

Anyway, I thought it was a solid Par.

Boyhood. Easy eagle. Honestly, it was albatross-just-barely-missed territory. The first movie 2:45 long that I wished was longer. Would have watched it all in one sitting even at hours.

Hitchcock's Topaz. Double bogey. What a snoozefest. Of course, even the greats bomb.

Jungle Book - Par.  Animation was terrific and the kid actor was good. But it is hard to top the original. Hearing Christopher Walken sing was interesting.

Very cool movie, more of a thriller than horror, lots of good jumps. Stephen Lang was awesome.

Sully - bogey for the whole movie, eagle for the 15 minutes of the actual event which starts about 30 minutes into the movie. The investigation, the phone calls to the wife were just incredibly boring, I was looking for the FF button, oh, wait, there was none. However, the coverage of the actual flight and landing, plus the perspective from the air traffic controller... aces!

Rewatched Flight. Birdie. Denzel Washington, Bruce Greenwood, John Goodman, Don Cheadle and James Dale Badge made something that would have been boring into something you can watch again and again. A movie that turns out not to be about a crash, but addiction.

I have a sick infatuation with this scene in Flight - don't watch this if you're going to fly.

Say I love you. What? Black box. I love you Trevor. You be a good boy. Mommy loves you.

We're gonna roll. We're gonna what?

Loooord, we're coming on 7,000 feet I SEE NOTHING BUT HOUSES!

It was a good movie, but I thought it was going to be about the flying and not what it turned out to be about.

For those who are wondering and I don't think it's a spoiler, it's about addiction.
