Pretty good choices

We saw Tomb Raider (new) in the theater last Sunday.   It started good but ended weak.   I'd give it a par but wait for the DVD version.

Isle of Dogs is a movie where being a golfer truly helps describe a synopsis of my feelings. If it were a round of golf, par 72, it would shoot 70, but no pars, two birdies, the rest eagles or double bogeys.

Watched Darkest Hour.  Great movie.  Birdie.  Very interesting to see how Churchill, against all odds, stood by his decision (with a little encouragement) to overcome seemingly unsurmountable odds.  Also very entertaining to see all the back stabbing that goes on in politics.

A Quiet Place. Birdie. Barely. It's good, didn't quite live up to the hype, can't go into it without spoilers.

I wanted to be scared out of my wits but wasn't that scared. Was very very tense though.

Went to see Tomb Raider over the weekend.  Par for me, decent film based on the game reboot.  Probably could've had a little more Laura Croft on the island alone against the bad guys but still a fun move to watch.

Alicia Vikander

However, I can't wait for this.

Coco - Eagle. I would put this among Pixar's best, the music didn't grab me, may have to re listen to make sure, but great storytelling.

I agree on the eagle rating.  I watched "Coco" on our flight to Phoenix back in late March.  Cried twice. :facepalm

Our granddaughter (23 years old) and I have pledged to celebrate Día de los Muertos each year after watching the film. We will, of course, put our own spin on the event but I am looking forward to Oct/Nov.

Definite eagle.  I'm Mexican, most of my family still lives there, and there were a lot of little cultural nuances they got spot on.  Definitely an enjoyable movie and a tear jerker too.

I thought so too.  Although I found his motivation a little weak, Thanos was very well done, even for a Marvel villain.

    • But overall, you're in as good a place as you've ever been. Keep measuring.
    • Went up to Erie, PA. Shorten backswing and control the right elbow Way more wrist flexion from top of swing. Feels like I’m hitting the ball with the toe end of the club. Club still travels back and behind me. In the downswing, the right hip needs to travel down towards the ball as the left hip goes up. Right knee needs to gain more flex as the left loses it. Gain right side bend with hips not upper body.
    • Day 29: played 9. Solid +3, with obvious improvements to come in tee shots. Iron play was much better, short game very good. Might be rounding into form. Also had a solid range season after the round. Started with driver, and then went to working on my priority piece after that. Videos looking decent, although still could use improvement.
    • Each year I participate in a two person scramble.  It's flighted after the first 18.  We play 54 hikes over 3 courses.  There is still opportunity for sand bagging.
    • A fairly solid +7 round yesterday with a double/triple bogeys on 15th/17th for my two blow up holes. Still not up to full speed but there is sufficient distance to tackle a dry 6,000 yard course. Anyway, I often forget that the golf swing is sideways motion with a left side leading focus for majority of the BS and DS (for a right hander). That is the focus here dynamically active left side thigh, hip and upper torso with a low, below plane left hand to start the takeaway and a good left last stretch at P4 with hands. It is almost like my left side is shoving my right side out of the way and behind to start of the takeaway. I think if I were to get on a set of force plates now to compare against my motion a year ago (hypothetically since I didn't back then) I would show some good improvement. Hmm... I wonder who has a set that I can access..🤔😉
