I don't know if this will catch on, but maybe some people will get this. I used to have a pair of Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf spikes, that are easily my favorite golf shoes I've ever had. Good mix of sole support and lightness, looked great, always liked the way they wrapped the 3 Adidas stripes around the arch. If they released shoes just like that (or the even cooler-looking Tour 360 LTD), I'd buy them immediately even though I have no need for new spikes. Anyone else have a club or a type of golf balls or anything else that they wish were usable in 2014?

In golf balls I miss the original Gamer V2, Titleist DT 90, and Strata Tour Straight.  I miss the look of my original hand me down persimmon woods but would not go back to them after hitting 460cc titanium drivers.

Only been playing for a bit over 3 years, so my only wish is that Wilson didn't drop the Smartcore NuClear Orange ball - Stevie Wonder could see that thing in flight ...

Honestly, not a damn thing.  Every piece of gear, from clubs, to clothing, to shoes, to balls is so much better now than it's ever been.

I do miss the sound of steel spikes around the clubhouse though.

I have a fondness for a little (and I do mean little) 3-wood I had in high school and throughout college.  It was a Taylor Made "Cleek."  Same concept as the "Raylor" with 3 or 4 little rails along the bottom of the tiniest clubhead you've ever seen.  And to top it off, it was bent at the hosel, but for some reason, it worked really well for me.

Hmmmm, now I wonder if I have it laying around in my parents garage somewhere.

The Titleist Professional, and it was mentioned already, but metal spikes.  I miss those sooooo much.  I wish we could take the ball back to 1998 and just stay there.

LOL ... this was my driver until about 2 years ago.  I broke the shaft that came with it and had it replaced with a yellow and purple one, don't know the name.  Loved that driver.

Still have it, by the way. :)

My Tony Pena persimmon driver.  I wouldn't play it today, but it was a beauty.  Nothing can match the sound the "old" woods made.

My first set of Ping Eye2's.  They changed my game forever.

I loved the old school ballata golf balls.  Before the Professional, the Titleist Ballata ball would spin 30' out of the fairway on a bad shot. : )  They didn't last long, but were the softest thing on the market.  Then, there was Slazenger ballata balls that were longer than Titleist and spun every bit as much.  And you can't leave out Maxfli ballata 100's.  I came across a few in my old shag bag.  So soft, they've warped over time.  They look like eggs!  However, give me a new ProV1 over those any day.

As mentioned, the sound of spikes at the clubhouse made you realize where you were.  But, the old spikes aren't as comfortable for all day wear like today's golf shoes.

It's amazing how much the game has changed and how quickly it's happened.

I played last week with some PING Eye 2 Woods, and I have several other vintage clubs that I often play with. They work fine with DT Solos. I miss the Titleist and Maxfli balatas, but must admit I play better with ProV's and DT Solos.

Metal spikes and a quality two wheel pull cart. If you want to have some fun, take your persimmon driver to the range and hit some easy drives next to someone who is spraying balls everywhere with his new 46 inch driver.

I have a Tony Penna persimmon driver that I play occasionally. We have not quite figured out our relationship; my relationship with my Joe Powells is more comfortable. A friend gifted me some nice PING Eye 2 woods and we got along quite well. I know what you mean by the sound; I mentioned to my buddies one day that I was playing with my old school woods and one said, "I know, I heard it"

Playing persimmon woods on occasion can sharpen your game, and get a lot of interest from your playing partners. Just move up a tee box or two to bring the course back to persimmon-era length. Pros like Rickie Fowler and Tiger Woods practice with persimmon, since it forces them to concentrate a bit more to hit it perfectly. The sound and feel of a persimmon wood hit "on the screws" can never be duplicated with a hollow metal wood.

Boy, isn't that the truth !!!!!!      I so much prefer a 2 wheel PULL cart to the current trend of stroller carts.     The best available is the Bag Boy & it's fair at best.      Definitely a need for a really good 2 wheel pull cart ...
