I find the wording of the rules of golf a bit difficult to understand sometimes .... just wondering if there may be a less comprehensive, dumbed down version available, that might just answer the majority or more common golf rule questions ??

This is interesting, but would like a bit more detail ...

There are also a variety of videos around, some older, some more recent, that give examples of situations where the various rules apply and what the player's options are.

Also check youtube and vimeo for more options.

There's a book on the principles of the rules of golf that makes it easier to read the rules themselves. There's also a book by Arnold Palmer called "Playing by the Rules" that describes what the rules mean, and goes into incidents where each came into play during an event (not hypothetical -- usually tour events).

This is a good one too. It is not short, but is well laid out.

I'm still bummed about the name change. RCGA - Royal Canadian Golf Association sounded so much cooler than Golf Canada. Golf Canada just sounds so, vanilla.

They've copied Golf Australia.

But Royal Canadian Golf Association sounds more authoritative if giving rulings.

I didn't notice the change till you pointed it out.

I thought Golf Canada was just the website name.

I guess we pissed off the Queen and she took her Royal back.

Yeah, Golf Canada sounds like the web site you'd go to for signing up for a tee time online at courses in Canada.

But then again, what the hell do I know?
