"There is no spoon" is from the Matrix. I believe one would say it on the golf course to remind themselves that it's all in their head. :)

"Duff city" is what my buddy Maxx yells when you chunk it.

I play regularly with a group of guys.  The joking and ribbing starts before the first tee shot is hit.  Most everyone on here has probably heard someone say when they hit a putt too hard, "Hit a house!"  Meaning they hit the putt way too firmly.  I was playing last week with the same group, one guy showed up 2 minutes before the tee time and didn't have a chance to putt on the practice green.  He hits first putt for birdie way too hard, I calmly said, "Hit a housing development."  Everyone starting laughing except the guy who hit the putt.  They had just cut and rolled the greens, his birdie put ran 15 feet past the hole.  Needless to say he ends up 4 jacking the green for a double.  He got over it pretty quickly and then had a good laugh about it later in the round.
