http://www.golf.com/equipment/nike-vapor-pro-driver
The new big stick Rory McIlroy officially debuted at the Ryder Cup earlier today, and which he presumably will continue to play throughout the matches, is the Nike Vapor Pro driver ($399.99). Featuring a pear-shaped, 460cc clubhead, the Vapor Pro is built with three key technologies - FlyBeam reinforced Covert Cavity back design, a new Compression Channel, and a new FlexLoft adjustability design. The FlyBeam, which acts like an I-beam in building construction, stiffens the cavity in the back of the club while the redesigned compression channel increases COR across the entire clubface. The result is more energy transferred to the ball at impact for more speed and distance. "To elevate performance, we added FlyBeam technology to the Covert Cavity Back to focus energy into the variable-profile Compression Channel and NexCOR face," said Nate Radcliffe, Director of Engineering. "This is the first time we have created a driver where the face and channel are measurably more flexible than the body." Adjustability and custom tuning are also significantly enhanced by the new hosel design (FlexLoft 2), which offers five lofts and three face angles with 15 different settings. The new system is approximately 30% lighter than the previous iteration, allowing more weight to be redistributed to other areas of the clubhead for added stability and improved launch conditions. The Nike Vapor Pro driver will be available on January 30, 2015.
I'm liking these more and more.

The "I" Beam inside the club is an interesting idea. I also really like the look of that driver. Very classic shape.

Classic ... has that "for better players" look...

They're gradually filling in that cavity more and more. Looking forward to the 2017 model that will feature their revolutionary cavity-free driver technology.

It might be a little more shallow than the Coverts, but that picture accentuates that a bit. Here one from another angle: Maybe not quite as big, but close.

I'm going to miss that gorgeous cherry red, but that is a fabulous looking club.

I like the color scheme better on the Vapor.  I really did like the red as well but I love that neon green color.

Thats an interesting thought I have the b tech and didn't even think about that. The colors are similar and  the concept of the design isn't all that much different either. Nike has 1 big cavity instead of 2 smaller cavities.  Good call.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
