How do so many of you find the time to golf so much? I am pretty jealous!

I go to the range 3 times a week on my lunch break. As far as actually playing courses, I'm mainly a weekend golfer. Really wish I could play more.

Like anything. It has to be a priority to you.... .....and your wife has to accept that too! ;-)

Seems like the guys that play the most are older. I have time and then some because I am middle aged, single with no kids at home and work for myself.

I'm 57 and soon to retire.  I average playing about 2 or 3 times a month and I favor quicker 9 hole rounds.  When I retire I'm thinking 1 or 2 rounds a week.

I have a matt and a net in my backyard.  I practice daily.  I tell the wife that it is part of my exercise routine.

I'm 57 and NOT soon to retire. Work sucks. Planning on working until 66 or I die which ever comes last. Golf once on the weekends and several times during the year in league for 9 holes. Practice several days per week after work. When I was in college, I played just about every day. In Junior college I had a student membership. At UF it was $3 for the day. Skipped many an afternoon class to play 18 holes.

That should be airplane is before golf.................. As far as retirement, that will probably happen about 2 years after I die...............58 and counting

I am a mile and one half from the areas most challenging course, I am a member off, 2nd I work for myself, allowing for my own schedule.

Wow at 58 all the kids are gone ... Have a great understanding wife ... So I get plenty of time for the golf thing

I'm 57 and still working 40 hours but I have an understanding wife and we are empty nesters.   I play at least once during the week or sometimes twice and at least once or twice on the weekend.   I get the driving range at least twice during the week.   Like I said, understanding wife.   This year I gave up all other sports to play golf and hopefully, my game will be rewarded for it.

47yrs old, work full time....married 23yrs with two kids living at home.  My wife doesn't need me to sit at home 24/7 holding hands to keep her company.  I can't relate to why a wife would need her husband at home every evening MON-FRI.  Hell...I'm home before dark!........this sounds fishy to me!!

My prime season routine when the days are long:::

MON-FRI.....play 18 at least two evenings before dark.

WEEKENDS:  I play early and rarely miss a day unless due to bad weather.  I'm usually home by 10am.........   Every once in awhile, I'll go back for a 2nd 18 before dark.   I also bowl 30 games on average every weekend with my 12yr old son!!!!!!!!

I average well over 100 rounds per year......

Golfers who play 1-2 times a week or less aren't dedicated golfers.....these are casual golfers.   There is noting wrong with this, but there is a distinction between the casual and dedicated.

Bowl 30 games per weekend? Do you bowl in any leagues? If so, what kind of average do you carry? I hope to be an empty nester within 3 years.

I also take the lunch break=range time approach.  I try to get out once on the weekends, but I'm 27 and trying to financially support a budding family, so sometimes financial restrictions come into play.

My children are grown and out of the house, so I have time.  Plus, I joined a "country club" (I use the term losely) and have unlimited golf.  A family owned business in Kansas has been buying up country clubs that are either going bankrupt or are bankrupt and changing the business model.  They charge a pretty low monthly fee that gets you unlimited golf (without a cart) and makes playing very reasonable.  I pay $600 a year and this year will play close to 50 rounds, plus the course is close to my grandsons and my wife tags along and spends time with the little ones, so all's good.
