I sympathize with you... not even a little bit :-P . My team sucked from Day 1. But yea, it's weird. I can understand injuries related to the game, but cancer and blood clots? That's just strange. I don't know. Couldn't begin to speculate, really. I agree, but I'm not the one who makes these decisions. I also believe Cory Schneider should be in the Vezina conversation, but Carey Price is having a monster year, so that debate would be for nothing anyway.

Carey Price will win both the Vezina and the Hart... he's the reason they are where they are at... If Calgary makes the playoffs, Hartley may win the Adams Trophy, Gaudreau is definitely a finalist for the Calder... I didn't realize since Mar 1 Calgary's top line Hudler/Monahan/Gaudreau combined had 55 points (20 goals) which isn't even a contest with any other top line in the league...

I'm not a Calgary fan but, I loves me some Johnny Gaudreau!

Man, things do not look good for the Kings right now. Unless Calgary implodes (could it happen, pretty please?) it appears the reigning champs are done.

The Flames can clinch a playoff berth with a win vs. LA on Thursday... the Kings are eliminated with ANY kind of loss...

Saturday is going to be fun. Very glad the Rangers wrapped things up at the Rock Tuesday night. I'll be intrigued to see who might be a healthy scratch against the Senators. Could benefit the Sens greatly.

History is not in the favor of the Presidents Trophy winner. Though last time the Rangers won it, they won the cup.

That they did.

And I'm not sure qualifying the success of the President's Trophy winner is an easy thing to do.  After all, there are 15 non President Trophy winners, haha.

But, yeah, the Rangers last won it in 1994.

I'm excited for the playoffs!

Pens really blew an opportunity tonight. If they don't beat Buffalo then they really don't deserve to make the playoffs.

Penguins have to watch out. Since Buffalo clinched 30th place, they have nothing to "lose" by winning a game. They might actually show up to play ;-)

The Pens may very well lose tonight. And if they win, they'll probably get swept or go out 4-1 in the first round.

That's what happens when 3 of your top 4 defensemen are out. When Dupuis is out. When Malkin's been injured. Comeau still wears a wrist brace. When one of your call-ups to play D gets injured and you have to play with 5 D for an extended period of time in the last several weeks of the season. When Kunitz seems to have become 45 overnight (post Olympics). When we're still paying ****ing boat anchor Rob Scuderi for TWO MORE YEARS after this.

I'm hoping Boston loses. I hate some of the scumbags on their team.

Wow, if I did not know any better, I would think your making excuses. Time to put your big boy pants on. Go Blues!

Not excuses. Just the reality. Take 3 of any team's top 4 defensemen and play with just 5 and see how they do. And that's only a part of the story.

The man games lost by the Penguins the last few years have been ridiculous.

Thank goodness. Any predictions for the first round? Here's mine. Ottawa @ Montreal: Montreal in 6. Detroit @ Tampa: Tampa in 7. Pittsburgh @ NYR: NYR in 4. NYI @ Washington: NYI in 6. Minnesota @ St. Louis: Minnesota in 6. Chicago @ Nashville: Chicago in 5. Winnipeg @ Anaheim: Winnipeg in 7. Calgary @ Vancouver: Calgary in 6. I feel like the West is pretty wide open.

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
