Maybe they got taken off the endangered list too soon. They steal my ball and I'm going after it with my driver. I hear eagle tastes like chicken.

Cool video, thanks for sharing. I believe he is supposed to proceed as a lost ball and take a one stroke penalty and replay the shot from the previous lie.

Nope,

18-1. By Outside Agency

If a ball at rest is moved by an outside agency, there is no penalty and the ball must be replaced.

Though I couldn't find a scenario if the ball could not be found. I would assume that replace means that a new ball can be used in such a case.

I had an iguana take my golf ball. Well, step on it and roll it along underfoot for a few yards. Eagle sounds worse.

I was standing around talking to a few contractors a couple years ago when one of them spotted one of these birds in a tree behind us.  A couple of them started taking pictures since it was only 70 or 80 feet away.  I still can't believe how big these animals are.

Great video!!!!   ...and it was a majestic bald eagle..no less!!

I've seen this before....... It was my golf partners ball.   A large eagle picked it up and flew 30-50yds further down the fairway before dropping it.  When we got to the ball, my partner grinned and said something to the effect .............."Play it where it lies, right?"................ Hahaha...

Unfortunately, I don't have video.  Nice catch!!
