Just for the record, that's a free drop is it not? Casual water?

Don't think so.  As Matt pointed out, that appears to be a red stake on the ground behind him, as well as one 50 yards in front of him.  Clearly looks like a small brook.

Not marked very well though, because it should have lines (or stakes) running along both sides, I'd imagine.

Oh yeah, just watched again, didn't notice the other red stake. Initially thought it was a yardage marker.

On another note, @MS256 sure knows how to hold a grudge. Sheesh.

It was 10.00 whether he hit the ball or not. Basically we were paying for the splash

Looked like a nice day out. For $30 I would have done it, too

That's hilarious.  I saw this on my facebook feed 2 minutes ago.  Thought to myself "hmm, I wonder how deep it was?  Maybe I should go check tst and see if somebody talked about it on the Honda thread."  And here it is.  LOL.

Nice job, Serg!

I think I could see the ball though, even though it was totally submerged.. Still, that is pretty good.

Any way you look at it, it wasn't a foot deep - maybe 3-4 inches at most.  It was a great recovery none the less.

Yeah, but that doesn't really mean a lot seeing as how water is, you know, clear :-P ... you can see the ball on all of my shots in 9" of water.  But, still, I agree, it's most likely no more than just barely submerged considering what he did with it.

I bet I can manage this challenge...who wants to bet against me hitting a ball 12" below water? I'll provide slo-mo video of my success.

12" below water and the ball coming out... not a chance in hell. If you manage it, I'll pay for your next round.

If you want to take a crack at it, I'll honor the terms of the original bet. No gimmicks or tricks; the ball has to be submerged in at least 12" of water and has to be hit with a conforming club and a legal golf stroke.

    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
    • Day 127: 5/2/24 Stack Full Speed spectrum training session 6/24. Training speed was 5 mph higher than previous high, as was e-speed. Still not as high as I have done in previous programs, but just 1 mph lower. Battling through a neck issue, and possible trigger fingers. Happy with results.
    • Day 49. Played 9 from tees a bit beyond my comfort zone and was humbled. Hit a couple good shots so will take that at least.
