How are you watching this?

I just want to nip something in the bud. Before we have anyone chime in with "See, this is why the short game is more important than the long game!" argument, you need to understand what's really going on right now. Tiger has broken down mentally which is an entirely different issue. OK, carry on.

Come on now ... were you actually watching this?  Cuz I was, and what he said was "How the asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk did no one see this ball?"  Get your facts right before you throw stones.

Yeah....given the circumstances, no one would have been happy with my mutterings either!

I try to use emoticons to try and convey sarcasm. :-P

Guessing no post round autographs today. Oh wait, that is after every round.

Justin Thomas is playing in a way to make you think he can be the break out player on tour this year. Kid has so much talent.

See, you confuse people like me when you only put the emoticon at the end of a sentence when you're also sarcastic in the middle of a post with multiple sarcastic comments!

Sorry, next :-) time :tumble: I'll B-) make :-\ it :-* more :smartass: obvious. O:)

Wow, Tiger is tied for last place.  Didn't think I'd see that.

Just doubled 4.  Now in last by himself..... :bugout:

+10 thru 13 holes today. Got to be dozens of TST members who could play that well from the back tees.

Sorry, next time I'll make it more obvious.

Thanks!

(BTW, were you being sarcastic there? :-\ )

Apparently he skulled another one. :surrender:

Bubba must not have gotten the memo.  He's throwing visors into the stands on 16....!

Bubba was exactly the type of guy I had in mind when I said someone should write "Or What" on the notice not to throw stuff.

What are they going to do, not let him play practice rounds there

Players play, tough players win!

I was never a huge Tiger fan but I can't watch this. It isn't dignified for the greatest golfer of his generation to be this cruelly exposed. It reminds me of the twilight years of Faldo's career - I hated watching my boyhood hero missing cuts. To be fair, I don't think Faldo circa 2000/2001 was ever this bad.

I hope Tiger can get his head together and starting competing again. If not, surely he will contemplate retirement - this can't be much fun for him.

Thanks!

Apparently he skulled another one.

I'm telling you, he has Super Bowl tickets.  All he wanted to do yesterday and today was get some extra practice in (and lower all of our hopes as far as possible) and then he's gonna party the rest of the weekend. ;)

This is bad. Really bad. Brandel Chamblee said yesterday was the worst round he ever saw from Tiger and that was a 73? What's he going to say today?

    • @DeadMan, I think your approach makes sense. As @dennyjones said, consistency is the key.
    • Day 204 (22 Nov 24) - Weekly men’s group round today.  Temps in the upper 40’s, WNW winds 5-15mph - was the old man in the foursome (next youngest is my junior by 10yrs) - held my own against them.  Iron play getting more consistent -seeing predictable ball flights and distances. While the consistency coming around still had sone solid negatives as I had two dbls and one triple. On the plus side - eight pars and one birdie.
    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
