Probably just to give his new instruction time to work. Of course he already knows that.

For instance, go back to...Titleist

You don't honestly, HONESTLY, think that has anything to do with his struggles, do you?

Couldn't hurt

Spend a little more time with your wedges on tight lies around the greens. Man, it was crazy to see him blading 5 irons and even putting from 20" off the green. Totally psyched out of the wedges right now, I guess since the Isleworth disaster.

Two things: 1. Rocco Mediate is a complete and utter fool outside of my next point. 2. He's rippin Tiger for his choice of teachers. Says he could fix Tiger's short game in 5 min. Then says go to Trevino (which is actually pretty good advice). 3. Sorry, I'll add one: Rocco is a self-serving idiot. 4. Here's another: McChord is a rock star.

As a fan that likes watching crazy good golf, I agree with this:) But seriously I don't really think that anybody here should be giving arguably the greatest golfer ever any advise. I also agree with @iacas, really start living life with your kids. disclaimer: I really don't like Tiger at all. Especially his off the course stuff, but to each they're own.

I'd advise him to quit. He's never going to be more than a shadow of the golfer he was, and the longer he goes on, the more marked will be the contrast between what his fans expect, and what he can deliver.

The more I practise, the luckier I hope to get.

GROAN - What are you, 11? :loco: It's not as if that isn't the most predictable and hackneyed response possible.

BTW, they weren't porn stars.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Im pretty sure at least one of them was.. + a couple other street walkers I think.. My advice would also be to just quit while ahead, make up a career ending injury and no one will ever second guess him.

    • It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….

    • Yes. I believe in using the same ball all of the time, including chipping and putting practice. I use the orange Callaway Supersoft.  Only $25 per dozen, and sometimes on sale for $20.
    • A 5400 yd course is not that short for gents driving it 160 yards considering the approach shot lengths they are going to be faced with on Par 4s.  Also, for the course you are referring to I estimate the Par 4s have to average longer than 260 yds, because the Par 5s are 800 yds or so, and if there are four Par 3s averaging 130 the total is 1320 yds.  This leaves 4080 yds remaining for 12 Par 4s.  That is an average of 340 per hole. Anyway, if there are super seniors driving it only 160ish and breaking 80 consistently, they must be elite/exceptional in other aspects of their games.  I play a lot of golf with 65-75 yr old seniors on a 5400 yd course.  They all drive it 180-200 or so, but many are slicers and poor iron players.  None can break 80. I am 66 and drive it 200 yds.  My average score is 76.  On that course my average approach shot on Par 4s is 125 yds.  The ten Par 4s average 313 yds.  By that comparison the 160 yd driver of the ball would have 165 left when attempting GIR on those holes.
