Here are three that I remember (all measured with my SkyCaddie:

1) 380ish yds on a 370ish yd par 4 at Pecan Valley in Ft. Worth.
2) 364 yds at Banff Springs on whatever the par 4 is where the teebox is like 10 feet from the hotel.
3) 342 yds on the 18th at my home course (Champions GC - Jack Rabbit)

Mine was very bittersweet because I lost the ball and wasn't able to verify the yardage. It was on a dogleg par4 which is about 270 to the rough, so I swing away because that is about as far as I can hit. Perfect contact, perfect ballflight, and the ball hits the ground and just takes off like a rocket (according to the guy I was with). There is only a about 20 yards of rough before you get to the porches of the houses on the course, which is where it must have gone. That was my definitely the closest I've had to 300, but I'll never know.

My longest drive occured on Jones Creek Golf Club on what was at the time their number 17 par 4. It is a slight dogleg left. I think that they've reversed the nines a time or two since so it may now be their number 8 par 4.

I'll not state the distance of the drive because it would sound simply absurd. I'd not believed it if I hadn't of experienced it firsthand.

The wind was howling from the tee box out towards the green. It was one of those days where golf was not a great option. ((The hole prior had a wicked hill to climb on the approach and the wind (right to left) made it even tougher. They've since redesigned this hole and taken the hill out....much easier.))

Anyway...the houses behind the tee box blocked the wind down low so a stable stance and swing was no problem.

I had just added a PING TiSI driver to my bag and thought I was John Daly. Those drivers rang in a new era in length for me.....huge sticks in that day.

I teed the ball higher than normal and set up so that I'd pick the ball up on my upswing. I took a couple of practice swings and grooved a long accelerating arc.

I hit the ball and it absolutely launched.....straight bullet that soared upwards while eating up distance. It did just as I hoped and made it up high into the crazy strong tailwind and disapeared past the gradual dogleg left.

My next shot was a lob wedge and then I two putted for par.

my longest measured drive per golfcaddie is 274 yards... im sure ive hit a few further than that but they would just be estimated distances...

i average about 220-230 and we rarely have wind around here and 98% of the fairways are fairly level....

My longest “best” drive occurred two weeks ago on the par 4 9th at Murphy Creek (the ’08 U.S. Pub. Links Championship course). From the blue tee, it’s slightly uphill and 311 yards to the center of the green - on in one, and eagle.

My longest drive was also my best hole ever. I don't remember the distance of the hole, but it was a par 4 with water to the right. A good drive for me goes about 250. This one went 280, dead straight, over the water, stopping right in the middle of the fairway. Then it was 5 iron (I think) to the green and 2 putt for par. That's probably an everyday occurance for some of you guys, but that was a damn good day for me!

That is so funny, i have actually taken the time to read this entire thread and discovered that this was the third time i had posted, but at least the number is the same on every post so i am clearly remembering the same drive!

    • @colin007, in terms of realistic sci-fi, its the best ever. They actually had an astrophysicist consult on the movie to be as accurate as possible with what we know about the universe.  For like dystopian, Blade Runner is probably king. Action/suspense is probably Alien/Aliens. Though Starship Troopers is fantastic. The Matrix is amazing.
    • Day 4 (August 14).  Full swing in my indoor practice room;  6-iron, off a mat, into a net.  Focus was on what I believe was my priority piece at last lesson (which, admittedly, was almost three years ago, due to absence).  I hit about a dozen balls this morning before going into the office.  (Also, errata to yesterday:  9 of the 12 coins were picked up on the second or third go around -- you can't pick up one on the first go around for that drill)
    • Watched The Gentlemen, took a little bit to get into it, but very good Guy Ritchie movie.  Collin Farrell and Hugh Grant were great. Give it a birdie.
    • Played in the Rhode Island CC Senior Member guest, my partner and I won the tournament. 2-day Stableford format, we ended with 104 points, won by 7. Points include 2 holes on each 9, where both players score count, can make up some points if you both play well on those holes.  @DaveP043has played a similar format (I played with Dann from RICC).
    • Played Wannamoisett CC on Monday.  What a neat old Donald Ross course, Par 69.  The conditions were immaculate, might be one of the best maintained courses, I've played.
