For anyone who has ever dreamed of hitting a golf ball into a major league baseball stadium, now is your chance. The San Diego Padres and Callaway Golf today announced The Links at Petco Park, a nine-hole golf experience that will take over Petco Park November 5-8, 2015. As part of the experience, golfers will have the opportunity to take shots onto the playing field from various tees along a course designed within the ballpark.

I'm going to be playing the "Links at Petco Park" for a Callaway media day on November 5th. Looks like a lot of fun and thumbs up to Callaway golf for the outside the box thinking.

If you lived in the area, would you try to make a tee time?

For more on the course layout, check out the video at the link below or the map.

“San Diego is a premier golf destination and Callaway is a premier golf brand, so partnering on this event makes perfect sense,” said Padres Vice President of Corporate and Event Revenue Jeremy Horowitz. “The opportunity to play golf inside a Major League ballpark does not come along every day. We are looking forward to working with Callaway to make this an unforgettable experience, and to seeing our partnership grow over the coming years.”

“We’re always trying to provide authentic golf experiences with our products that are unique and engaging, and that’s exactly what this partnership with the Padres is about,” said Callaway Sr. VP of Marketing Harry Arnett. “Playing a nine-hole course at a venue like Petco Park with Callaway golf clubs and balls will be a once-in-a-lifetime round, and we are excited to be a part of it.”

The nine-hole course begins on a putting green in the home dugout at Petco Park. From there, golfers will move to the ballpark’s upper deck for holes two through five, where they will hit shots onto the field from various locations. Hole six will tee off on the field level near the Western Metal Supply Co. building before golfers move to the Batter’s Eye out in centerfield for hole seven. Hole eight will feature another putting shot, this time in the bullpen. The final hole of the course will be located on the rooftop of the Western Metal Supply Co. building.

Each hole along the course will feature a unique theme and an opportunity to win prizes like a new Callaway Great Big Bertha Driver, with various holes offering corresponding snacks and beverages. Finally, golfers will finish their day in The Loft presented by Budweiser, which will be transformed into a Callaway clubhouse. There, they will have the opportunity to relax with additional food and beverages available for purchase, watch other golfers along the course, and shop for commemorative items.

The course will be reserved for media and corporate use on Thursday, November 5, and will be open to the public for purchase Friday, November 6 – Sunday, November 8. Tee times go on sale to the general public at noon PT today at www.padres.com/thelinks. Entry may be purchased for twosomes or foursomes, reserving tee times throughout the day beginning at 7:30 a.m. Callaway clubs and balls will be provided for golfers to use for this experience.

Pricing starts at $100 for twosomes ($50 per player) and $200 for foursomes.  The cost includes parking, snacks and beverages along the course, limited edition “The Links at Petco Park” hats, and a nine-hole round for each golfer. Upgraded Platinum twosomes and foursomes are also available for $400 and $800, respectively. In addition to the standard package, upgrades will include a limited edition Padres-branded Callaway club for each golfer and tickets to a 2016 Padres game.

Nope. I'd be paranoid the whole time with all those greens in such close proximity. Too many chances to take one to the head.

I voted yes, but then read what @SavvySwede wrote.  If they have a way of making that not a problem then I'll be there on Sunday if I can find someone to do it with.  I would think we could all tee off for every hole at the same time.

Looks cool. I would try it. Maybe it will become a trend! Hitting a PW from the Green Monster at Fenway! Except they'll be 2 feet of snow on the ground during most of the off season. :-(

I thought the same thing. It would be cool if it was at night with a few buddies but if I had time to golf, I would go play a regular round.

In a related media release, the SD Padres also announced that batting helmet giveaway day will be coinciding w/the same event.

They're not gonna sell beer are they? Because sporting implements easily weaponized combined with alcohol...

I'm also guessing some knuckleheads will want to clear the fences from the upper deck behind home plate.

Please take some videos, @Golfingdad!

I didn't book anything - just said I'd love to try it.  Maybe next year. :(

Also, I assume it won't be as dangerous as y'all are making out because I doubt that anybody is even allowed on the field to "putt."  I presume it'll be more like a driving range with targets than an actual course.

Either way, bummed I'm not able to do it.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense, should have thought of that.

From talking with one of the Callaway guys, he said two holes are just putting. I also think the longest shot is 120 yards.

Really fun event and great outside the box thinking from Callaway Golf. I think this might be something to catch on at other ball parks or stadiums in the off seasons. The course is open to the public Thursday to Monday this week but Callaway said all the tee times have already been sold out.

The course is 9 holes and you get to hit two shots on every tee, there's no putting. If you hit it on the green it's a par, inside of a circle of about 10 feet around the hole you make birdie, bogey is a shot off the green and a double bogey is when you hit it in the stands. Longest hole is 145 yards and the shortest was 62. Most tees were on the upper level hitting down towards the field. First tee shot is from home plate which was really cool.

I shot even, hit every green, no birdies but came close on the last hole. They had Callaway clubs on every hole and most of the shots I hit were with a 48 or 52 degree wedge.

Here's my tee shot on #6, 112 yards with a gap wedge.

They give you a bag that you carry around that has 17 balls, you only get one tee shot on the 9th hole.

This was one of three hole that had a certain theme tied to them. The 4th was the "bad weather" hole with fake snow. It's 132 yards.

The 7th hole was the "golf movies" hole. They had a Carl Spackler impersonator and hockey sticks (Happy Gilmore) available of you wanted to hit that instead of a golf club. I'm a traditionalist so I hit a wedge ;-) Hole is 62 yards.
