If Spieth ever gets chased down his driveway by his girlfriend/wife who is wielding a golf club then we know he's made it big. :-P

I like the fact that he knows how to win.

Plus he killed it with , what, $55 million last year. Not bad for a third year on the job

Well, we can all say it's officially over for Spieth because he's gonna gain 25 pounds from drinking too much of the stuff while endorsing it, lose his swing, his weight will yo-yo and he'll never get his swing back.

:-P

Rory Mcilroy is like, yo, Pepsi, where's my deal?

Aw, Nevets, didn't think you'd go there.  :-(  I'm sad.

You can atone by posting a few Spieth is great tweets from the glitterati, if you'd like.  :-) I would be happy.

We will soon see. I was travelling on business and got home when he was on 14. Before I saw the score they said he had 23 putts through 13 holes. I knew then it wasn't good, and it got worse. He almost missed that last putt on 18 after 3 putting from about 10 feet, and they were bad misses. I think his game feeds off of his putting, not the other way around. They said he went straight to the range after the round, hopefully he went to the putting green as well. Maybe it is perception and I haven't looked at the stats, but his 2016 putting has not been what it was last year. I also think Kapalua maybe masked some of his issues with the wide fairways, but he did win by 8 or so.

The new houses, sponsorships, $, attention...it has to affect you especially at 23 years old. He is no flash in the pan, he has shown too much talent since he was an amateur. I picked him to win a major or two this year on that other thread, but we will see how he copes with it all. I still think he will be the one of the big 3 to consistently dominate over the next 10-20 years, but there may be a delay in that while life settles down.

He'll bounce back for sure. He might have a difficult period or even season perhaps, but he's only 23... please let him :)

Feel bad for him regarding his receding hair line.  He's obviously super-self-conscious about it cuz he can often be seen trying to fix his thinning hair on top.  Yikes, and he's only 22.

    • Something I’ve been thinking about. I watch a lot of club tests, retired and get up way too early, and there’s something I think in my opinion might be being done wrong. They might pick several drivers, could be something different, and use the same shaft so things will be equal. In my mind a shaft might be good in one club and not in another. Learned the hard way, had my best ever driver at the time, G410, and kept hearing about how great the G425 MAX was. Since I sometimes have trouble finding senior shafts we traded heads and the 410 shaft never seemed to work out in the 425 head for me. Wasn’t as straight or as long so I have moved on. Don’t think everyone was wrong about the G425, just think that combination maybe didn’t work for me.
    • Day 366 - Fullswings, making sure my hips face the target more.
    • Day 187: freezing cold and a tad unmotivated, but got in some mirror work. Working on backswing stuff. Tried out a few new things that I think might improve my mirror work.
    • I use different clubs. That doesn't mean I always use a 9I from 135. Sometimes I'll use it from 115, even though that's well within my PW yardage.
    • Day 112 - 2025-01-20 Had two guys in for GEARS lessons today, so I got there early and practiced for 30 minutes before they arrived.
