I dunno. I've been critical of his speed over the last two days as well, but I can understand him taking his time on that one. He maybe took one more look than was necessary, but I can live with that one.

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

What's in the bag: Callaway X2 Hot Driver, Titleist 915F 3 wood, X2 Hot 3 Hybrid, 3, 5-AW Apex Pro irons, 54*, 58* Cleveland RTX, Odyssey Versa 1 Putter

I wonder if the guys chasing Spieth are playing it safe hoping he messes up and comes back to them.

No. I just think DJ is a mental midget on the greens and Day tries too hard to shape shots sometimes.

Kjeldsen is so rad.

Yikes!  Take an iron off the tee and miss the fairway.  (S.K., #3)

Gotta say, the greens look dreadful for Augusta. The course just doesn't look as good to me this year because of it.

I'm convinced Langer is cheating

I don't think so. I'm convinced the dubious benefits of the "cheating stick" are purely psychological, not mechanical. That broomstick is basically a psychological crutch for him. I reckon he uses it on the practice green as he always has, and then tries to trick his mind into thinking the non-anchored stroke in competition is the same action...chiefly because, well, it is.

Judging by what I'm watching right now, it ain't working!

Smylie as cool as the proverbial cucumber.

His name would be perfect for Tin Cup 2, he's going stroke for stroke with Spieth which can't be easy.

Indeed. Been saying that all week. Perhaps the unusual cold for this time of year along with heavy rain earlier in the week and all the wind is the cause?

It's not that his opinion isn't accurate it's that he only targets people that will gain him notoriety.  I doubt that Spieth was the only golfer who called his swing coach yesterday because they had a problem with their swing.  Some guys have their coaches travel with them, so are they momma's boys too, why isn't Brandel calling them out?

Spieth wants to win, he's wisely using all the resources available to him in order to help him win, since when is that wrong or something worthy of snarky comments?

The 'mommy' thing was me embellishing, he didn't actually say that so maybe that is hanging you up. I can't remember his exact words now, but everybody was talking about Cameron returning and everything, then Brandel blasted it and said he didn't like it, pros depend too much on their coaches, they need to figure it out themselves, etc.

Also, as somebody noted, he comments on those at the top or winning. Nobody wants to see what he says about the guy in 50th place, who is not one of the stars. I think he is good for golf and has good takes, Agree to disagree.

Anyway, back to golf. If this Soren guy wins it's gonna take some willpower for me not to chunk the TV into the pool.

Damn you and your luck Jordan. If he wins, that shot will be on replay of the luck that helped get him there.

Yesterday, I agree. That driving iron was a safe play though and he knew it.
